Load-lifting construction - This is the heart of any crane and it occupies a special place in the list of lifting equipment. At present, on the Russian market you can find a wide variety of hoists from around the world (mainly Bulgaria, Russia and China) and different lifting capacities (the most popular lifting mechanisms with a lifting capacity of 3 and 5 tons). In order to make the right choice of a hoist, it is important to imagine for what purposes you need a lift (and also know its technical characteristics approximately). The main characteristics that you should rely on when choosing a hoist are its carrying capacity and the height of the load. And now we list the secondary characteristics that are also important when purchasing a hoist - this is the operating mode, the speed of lifting the load, the linear size of the hoist in height and the width of the beam on which it will be installed.
All types of hoists can be roughly divided into two groups - manual and electric. Manual (or mechanical) are designed for easy operation, where there is no need for operational efficiency. The advantage of a manual hoist is that it is unnecessary to supply power for its operation, since it is driven by the physical strength of the worker. Electric hoists, in turn, are divided into rope and chain. The most demanded hoists in production are electric wire rope mobile hoisting mechanisms installed with an I-beam crane. The maximum load capacity of such a hoist reaches 50 tons. It is worth noting that manual hoists differ from electric ones at a lower and affordable price. Therefore, if you have a small production, and lifting the cargo is required from time to time, then manual hoist will be the most reasonable choice.
In many cases, the choice falls on the manual hoist and there are three reasons for this (small size and weight, serious lifting capacity (up to 10 tons), the ability to work in the absence of electric current). Very often, manual hoists are used in the installation of heavier electric hoists. Modern Bulgarian manual hoists are of high quality workmanship and quality of operation.
Consider the rope and chain hoists. Firstly, the lifting element is a lifting cable (which is wound around the drum), and in the second, a particularly strong calibrated steel chain (which rotates with the help of a gear). In bridge and gantry cranes, cable hoists are most often used, and chain hoists are installed in cantilever slewing cranes (the small weight of the chain hoist makes it easy to install).
