The consulate is a body of external relations of a state, established on the territory of another state to solve certain problems. The Embassy of the Republic of Poland is located in Moscow. There are diplomatic missions (consulates) in St. Petersburg, Irkutsk and Kaliningrad.
Historical reference
The Consulate General of Poland in Kaliningrad was established in 1992. Initially, the headquarters was in the Kaliningrad Hotel on Leninsky Prospekt, 81. In 1994, the consulate was located in the building of the city executive committee on ul. Kutuzova, d. 43-45, and now in the building on Kashtanovaya alley, d. 51, built in 1995-1998 by the Polish authorities in the picturesque part of the city near the pond Float.
It is worth noting that on the territory of Koenigsberg during the interwar period from 1919 to 1930 the consulate also functioned, but with the aim of representing Polish interests in East Prussia.
Between 1992 and 2018, about 12 people were replaced as consul general. Since 2018, the consulate is headed by Anna Novakovska, who until that time held a similar post in the city of Brest (Republic of Belarus).
The main tasks of the consulate
The main tasks performed by the Polish Consulate in Kaliningrad include:
- contacts with local authorities and the press;
- reception of citizens, solving their issues within the framework of the law;
- paperwork (passports, visas and other papers);
- cooperation in the field of economics, tourism, culture and science.

Rules for the admission of citizens
You can make an appointment with the Polish Consulate in Kaliningrad by phone and email. To resolve visa issues, you need to register admission in a special e-Konsulat system. Registration of permits within the framework of small border movement and visas in Kaliningrad is also carried out through the visa center, which is located on ul. 1812 year.
At each visit to the consulate, you must provide an identification document (civil or foreign passport).
Schedule
Reception and issuance of documents is carried out on weekdays from 08:00 to 16:00.
Non-working days are set each year taking into account Polish and Russian public holidays.
