Many scientists are of the opinion that the Universe, which we are observing today at the very least, is just a piece of the unexplored Universe that extends into the vast and outer space. One of the modern theories says that the Universe has an end, but at the same time has no boundaries.
Paradox! This is explained by the fact that it, like a spiral, is twisted around itself. No one can leave this space, because the path will always be circular, and in the end will lead to the starting point. The famous proverb “how much the rope does not curl, but the end will be” does not work here. Figuratively, the Universe can be imagined as a round-the-world trip around the globe: we wander through it without leaving it ourselves. What the Universe is, by means of the theory of “twisting of the cosmos”, it can be described with the help of
higher mathematics, but never, under any circumstances, it will be possible to depict schematically on a piece of paper!
We are not alone
When asked about how many Galaxies in the Universe, no one will give you an exact answer.
There are hundreds of them, and perhaps thousands of billions! It is known that our “neighbor” is a galaxy called the Andromeda Nebula. It, like our
Milky Way, consists of billions of stars, planets, clouds of gas. Both of them, together with others closest to them, form the
local group of galaxies. Like hundreds of cities that make up an entire state,
clusters of galaxies form an entire universe.
Laws of the universe
Since today no one can give an exact answer to the question “what is the Universe”, we operate with different versions, theories and knowledge of scientists. The latter claim that it has a cell structure like a honeycomb, where the cells are superclusters of galaxies.
Trying to find out what the Universe is, astronomers have discovered an interesting fact: almost all the galaxies in it are moving away from each other. There is only one explanation for this today: the Universe has the property of expanding. The theory was scientifically grounded, a lot of astronomers agreed with it, who believed that the beginning of the Universe was laid by the “big bang”: matter was condensed to incredible limits, as a result of which expansion began. This led to the emergence of individual galaxies, the formation of solar systems, planets and, in fact, life on these planets.
The universe has been expanding for billions of years. It is believed that this extension will one day stop and smoothly go into compression.
Changing the universe is an ongoing process. It simply cannot be otherwise. Celestial bodies moving in the universal space are constantly changing. The space around them also changes. All of this is evolution. Astronomers are still unable to find the boundaries of the universe. True, with the help of powerful telescopes, they made a scientific breakthrough, “reaching” its vast expanses, which light can reach in only 10 billion years!
Everything secret becomes clear
Probably, it is not worth explaining that the age of the Universe and its size can in no way be compared with the age and size of our planet. We all understand that the Earth is just one speck of dust out of hundreds of thousands of billions of others, “hovering” in the universal expanses! Today, the attention of all scientists in the world is riveted to the study of the universe. It is known that any secret will ever come true. We may not live to see this sensation, but we sincerely believe and hope that someday the final answer will be given to the question “what is the Universe”.
