First of all, he is famous for leading the uprising of Saint Alessia, thanks to which people were able to defeat the Ayleids. Pelinal is a cyborg who came from the future, and admirers consider him the incarnation of Sesarra.

Unfortunately, almost no one saw the Light Knight without a helmet, so his appearance remains a mystery. The only source from which you can draw at least some information about the appearance of Pelinal Whitstrake is an ancient legend. It says that the knight was born with gray hair, and his left hand carried a murderous light.
During the war of humans and elves, Pelinal played a decisive role. It was he who, defeating the magic kings, was able to turn the tide of the confrontation, thereby giving humanity hope. During the siege of the White Gold Tower, the knight single-handedly entered the Ayleid stronghold and was able to defeat Umaril the Neoprene, in which the elves saw their savior. Unfortunately, Pelinal failed to survive after this duel.
The Light Knight was buried in a tomb erected deep beneath the city of Vanua. Nevertheless, even after death, he instructed his nephew, and then, although not directly, helped people gain another victory in confrontation with a long-standing enemy.
In Oblivion
In the midst of the Oblivion Crisis, Umaril the Unfounded managed to be reborn in Nirn. He led the army of the younger Daedra, who, under his leadership, began to attack the churches of the Nine Deities, brutally killing all parishioners.
Fortunately, Champion Cyrodiil intervened. He contacted the spirit of Pelinal, who helped him with the search for Relics of the Divine Crusader. As you might guess, these were Whitestrake armor and its weapons.
As a result, the hero managed to find all the relics. Using their power, the Champion defeated all the followers of Umaril, and destroyed the witch-king himself once and for all.
In skyrim
In the original version of Skyrim, Whitestrake, unfortunately, can not be found. Nevertheless, there were enthusiasts who decided to correct this injustice. In general, fans of the Light Knight will definitely be pleased.
By installing the Pelinal Whitestrake mod on Skyrim, you will receive the legendary hero as your companion. At the same time, the knight is fully voiced and corresponds to his canonical image. So, for example, Pelenal, who has long hated elves, is particularly cruel in battles with the witty.
After the mod is activated, you can find the Light Knight in Solitude. But keep in mind that you cannot take the crusader into companions if your hero is an elf, orc, or Breton.
