Spain is a country where a huge number of tourists come annually. The hot sun, numerous beaches, developed infrastructure, local flavor - all this attracts travelers from all over the world.
I would like to pay special attention to the famous resort of Salou. This place is very popular among tourists. The Mediterranean coast is covered with soft sand. The beaches of Salou have the form of wide sand strips, heated by the sun. For those who do not like large crowds, we recommend relaxing in small bays that are hidden from prying eyes among coastal cliffs and pines.
Beaches of Salou
All beaches are public, so everyone can swim here. There are no coastal areas in this region that would belong to hotels. There are at least 5 beaches in Salou, three more are located in Cap Salou. During the holiday season, it is very crowded, so for lovers of secluded relaxation it is better to choose small bays. Unlike large beaches, their infrastructure is poorly developed. In the bays you can rent a parasol and sunbed. There is some water entertainment, a bar and a toilet. These beaches include Penya, Font, Cranc, Tallada and others.
The most popular are Levante, Capellanes, Llarga, Peña Tagliada, Ponent. We'll talk more about these beaches.
Feature beaches
If you decide to go on vacation to the Mediterranean Sea, you should give preference to the beaches of Salou (Spain). Photos of the coastal zone provide an opportunity to appreciate the beauty of these places.
There are no private or private beaches in Salou; all of them belong to the municipality of the city. Every day, the coastal zone is cleaned, so this resort is considered one of the cleanest. The beaches and the bottom of the sea are mostly sandy, so it is quite safe to relax with children here. Entering the water is very convenient, since the descent is gentle and there are no stones. There are no currents near the coast, so the sea is calm and warm for most of the holiday season.
The coastal zone is landscaped: there are showers, toilets. Along the coast are bars, cafes, hotel complexes, as well as rental services.
Central Levante Beach
The length of the largest beach is 1 km 200 m. On the one hand, it borders on the port, on the other, there is a stone cape. This is one of the most crowded and noisy places. Despite the large influx of tourists, this Salou beach is impeccably clean. There is a lot of entertainment for young children. Rental services, cafeterias, bars, etc. are located along the coast. High palm trees and fountains can be seen on Jaime I pedestrian boulevard. They decorate this recreation area, which stretches along the entire Levante beach.
Rescuers are constantly monitoring vacationers. The beach has good conditions for people with disabilities, so people with disabilities can relax here.
Since there is no natural shadow on the coast, you can hide from sunlight only under an awning or umbrella. The cost of a deck chair along with a canopy will be about 12 euros.
There are comfortable hotels near the beach (Las Vegas, Blaumar, etc.), but they do not have direct access to the Mediterranean Sea, since the boulevard and road separate them from the coast.
Ponent - the second largest beach
This coast is an ideal place to relax with young children, as there is an extended shallow water, and the descent into the water is gentle. Although the beach is quite large, vacationers are much less, and therefore the cost of some services is cheaper. So, for example, rent two sun loungers and one umbrella for the price will be no more than 10 euros.
This Salou beach is located between the local port and Cambrils.
Hotels of the first line, which are located near the coast, have a small access to the sea.
Peña Taglada Beach
This is a small bay with a sandy beach, the length of which is no more than 125 m. The place is surrounded by cliffs and pine trees. The beach is rightly called the wildest coast. Hotels such as Hotel Best Complejo Negresco and Sun Club Salou are located nearby.
Capellans Beach Salou
Photos of this cozy corner surprise with incredible picturesque views. The beach has a length of not more than 200 m. It is surrounded by cliffs and pine trees. To go down to the beach, you need to overcome a staircase with numerous steps. Resting with children is somewhat problematic, since the entrance to the sea has a steep descent, although the sea bottom is shallow. There are a lot of stones along the edges of the beach, which also causes some inconvenience. There are bars and rental services on the coast. You can rent a chaise lounge for 5 euros. There are water activities, a children's swing and a slide. The beach is equipped with toilets and showers.
Tourists reviews
Holidays in Spain will appeal to almost everyone. Reviews of the beaches of Salou are positive. Many tourists who have visited these places wish to come here again. The maximum number of positive reviews received the picturesque beach of Ljarga. Its duration is about 600 m. It fascinates with its landscapes. The beach is located in one of the bays of Cap Salou. It is surrounded by pine trees, a variety of palm trees, cacti and juniper. In the intense heat here you can hide from the burning rays of the sun in the shade of coastal plants.
