Youth program “Work and Travel USA”, which is translated into Russian as “Work and travel to the USA”, is intended for international student exchange. If you want to participate in this program, you need to be a conscientious student at an accredited educational institution and be fluent in English.

It seems to me that you could not hear about this event, organized by the US government annually. And do not think that this is another trick. Not! I know people who are lucky (after several attempts, or even the first time!) To win, and for several years now they have been living in the country of their dreams. Of course, if you want to find yourself in the USA as soon as possible, there is no point in counting on such a ghostly luck. But why not give it a try? Moreover, this procedure is absolutely free.
Once a year, in the fall (dates change annually, so it’s worth checking on the US government website), you are asked to fill out the simplest form in English, attach a photo to it and wait for the will of fate. The names of the winners are usually announced in the spring - summer of the following calendar year. I combined these two types of visas for one reason: the procedure for obtaining them is almost the same, so the recommendations will be the same.
If you are invited to the United States to stay (relatives, friends, former employees, it does not matter), they must send you a guest invitation in advance. Moreover, there is an erroneous opinion that such a document should have as many seals, stamps and prints of all kinds as possible. It's a delusion. A document containing a huge amount of unnecessary tinsel, on the contrary, causes suspicion from a representative of the embassy. It is preferable if you are invited by a person of the same sex with you, then there are no questions regarding your probable marriage in the United States.
Before you get a tourist visa in the United States (for the guest procedure is the same), you will need to fill out a form on the embassy's website. This is done online and in English. This document is printed out and taken with you for an interview.
The interview itself takes place in a free form. No documents are required, although in rare cases they may ask you for a certificate of salary from the place of work or certificate of marriage. It is advisable to tell only the truth, but those who have already gone through this procedure recommend not mentioning that you work, say, as a translator or teacher of English. For some reason, it is believed that if a person mastered the language and perfected it for a certain number of years, working in his specialty, then only for the purpose of driving away to America by all possible means.
