Merchants in Skyrim are those who sell a wide variety of things and who can sell all the unnecessary loot of the protagonist. Usually they are found in all cities and small settlements, and also sometimes roam the roads. All merchants specialize in products of different categories.
The reserves of gold at the merchants of Skyrim, in the same way as their range, are far from unlimited. However, after some time the assortment is replenished, so before making another purchase from the same seller, it is better to wait a few days.
Pharmacists and jewelers
Pharmacists, who are also alchemists, are engaged in the purchase and sale of various alchemical products. Usually they sell parts of animals, prepared and unprepared food, a variety of ingredients, dangerous poisons, elixirs and recipes.
You can turn to jewelers for valuable stones, jewelry, ore, ingots, and tools.
Flea marketers and blacksmiths
The first category of Skyrim merchants specializes in a bit of everything. Most of the items come true to them. Flea marketers have a special column in the trading section called "Miscellaneous" - it contains goods of various types and categories.
Blacksmiths specialize in certain things: hides, armor and armor, arrows, ore / ingot fragments, various tools, and weapons of all types.
Innkeepers and Spell Providers
Merchants who belong to innkeepers often do not own the inn themselves. In their usual assortment there are always such products as food, unprepared food and ingredients.
Spell providers are also Skyrim merchants. They usually get money from selling magic items, so these merchants are well versed in books, various spells, soul stones, enchanted clothes, and more. Vendors can also be accessed with daedric artifacts, ancient scrolls, spell volumes, and magic staves.
Hunters and farmers
In addition to official merchants, certain types of goods are also accepted by hunters and farmers. The former are interested in those things that are usually mined during hunting or fishing, and the latter are interested in what grows in the fields and beds.
Hunters live in special camps and are sometimes found in city markets. Farmers engage in farming near their homes and can be found anywhere in Skyrim.
Buyers of Stolen Goods
The last category of Skyrim merchants is stolen buyers. They work for the Thieves Guild and conduct business only with its members - otherwise they simply cannot be reached. Typically, a player gains access to buyers only after completing certain quests. At first, there are only a thousand gold coins on their accounts, however, as the Guild improves, this amount gradually increases (the limit is 40,000 coins).
Buyers are the only merchants to accept stolen goods. In addition, they can sell products of absolutely any category.
Dremora the Merchant
Along with the Dragonborn expansion pack for Skyrim, players were able to summon a special merchant straight from Oblivion himself. Its appearance, although reminiscent of other dremors, is nevertheless closer to the human.
The merchant can only be called up for fifteen seconds, while the time required to examine the goods is not considered. You can fulfill the call endlessly, without any expectation. The process of buying and selling is exactly the same as with ordinary sellers.
With him Dremor the merchant has two thousand Septims. He is interested in things of any type and class, except those that have been stolen. It is also worth noting that the player cannot use his eloquence on Dremora (not a single level).
How to sell a thing?
In order to start the trading process, you need to find special NPC characters who specialize in this area. You need to start a regular dialogue, and then select the replica option "What is for sale?" (or an analog of this replica).
A new window should appear on the screen with the name of the trader and the categories of things that he trades. At the bottom of the window, you can see the name of your own character and his entire inventory.
It is worth noting that not every seller will be interested in a particular subject. You can notice this trend through an inventory in which some things will be highlighted, and some will not. To sell to the merchant any unnecessary thing, just select it and press R. By the way, you need to buy goods in the same way.
Useful mods for money
Skyrim merchants almost always have a limited supply of gold. Typically, this problem can be solved in several ways: a player can start doing business only with buyers from the Thieves Guild, or he can use special modifications that expand trading opportunities.
One of the most popular mods is Skyrim Rich Merchants. It was created specifically for those cases when players who accumulated a large amount of loot had to look for several sellers at once in order to sell all their goods. The "Rich Merchants" mod increases the account of each merchant to 20,000 gold coins. This amount appears every time a couple of days after updating the location.
Another interesting mod adds a completely new merchant named Ma'jahar to the game. Ma'jahar - Khajiit, located at the gates of Whiterun and offering his services to the player. With him there is always a lot of gold, which he gladly exchanges for any things. In addition, Khajiit can easily replace buyers of the Thieves Guild, as it also accepts stolen items.
