Today, the fashion world increasingly surprises us with various innovations in the constant struggle of designers for originality. Yesterday, models defiled in fancy outfits made of plastic, and today papyrus clothing design is once again taking the lead.
This is due to the fact that creating a dress from paper is quite simple: this material is quite cheap, easy to deform. From it it is very simple to simulate any thing that can both decorate your own home, and your image.
As a rule, a paper dress is relevant for various design competitions, photo shoots for magazines and other
creative projects. The most famous event for paper couturiers is the annual Paper Fashion Show, which is organized and held in Denver. Both famous professionals and novice students take part in various nominations.
Also in the United States every year a contest is held for the best wedding dresses from ... ordinary toilet paper. Hundreds of young girls from around the world willingly take part in it, because for this you need only a few dozen rolls of this material, glue, scissors and scotch tape.
The most exclusive dresses win a certificate for a good amount, the owners of which can buy a real wedding dress from the famous couturier. But, despite such frenzied relevance of this designer raw material, such models are unsuitable for everyday use.
We have a fashion for original paper dresses also gaining successful development. The talented designer Alexandra Zakharova has created a whole collection of papyrus outfits that are distinguished by a strict geometric shape in combination with retro styles.
By the way, if you attach a little imagination and decorate the paper dress with decor, then the thing will be difficult to distinguish from a product made of just light fabric. The only drawback of such things, of course, is the fragility of the material. However, in the photograph, the material will actually resemble a real fabric. So if you decide on an original and bold photo shoot, you have a great opportunity to show your imagination and make your own dress out of paper, avoiding high costs. It will be unique, incomparable and one of a kind.
How to simulate a paper dress
For this, ordinary strips cut from a newspaper are suitable. Put the two parts on the shoulders of the model as shoulder straps, begin to sew the remaining elements to them, modeling the neck and chest. Prepare a solution of water, PVA glue, adding a little salt. Cut extra long and wide stripes, dip them in the solution, and then lay them around the body, leaving the neck and back intact. Let the frame dry a little. Cut the base along the bodice with scissors. Punch holes for corset lacing. Leave the frame to dry on knocks.

After that, continue to
model the dress according to your idea. Do not forget to stitch or glue the ends of the strips on the model until you get the length you need. When the dress is ready, spray hairspray over the entire area of ββyour product. Do not forget that the dress should be protected from fire and high humidity. It should be worn carefully, but if something suddenly breaks, you can βpatchβ it with the same PVA glue and strips of paper.
