The New Year is approaching, the time to decorate the Christmas tree and decorate the apartment with festive decoration. Once upon a time in Russian families there was a tradition - to decorate a forest beauty with Christmas tree toys, made with their own hands. Long before Christmas and New Year, mothers and children glued bright lanterns, cute little animals from colored paper and cardboard, and glass beads for garlands were strung on threads. Nowadays, handcrafting has become fashionable again, so why not try to make smart Christmas decorations with your own hands with your children? A Christmas tree with such toys will become even more elegant and sweeter.
Let's make a
Christmas ball of thread and use three very simple ways. First we make a beautiful cobweb. We will need a balloon, strong cotton threads of bright New Year's colors (blue, red, white, yellow, etc.), PVA glue or paste, petroleum jelly or other oily substance, a small plastic jar with a lid, a thick needle with a big eye. We put the thread in the needle, then in the lid and in the bottom of the jar we will pierce the hole with the needle and let the thread pass through them. Pour glue into the jar, close the lid, the thread passes through the glue composition. We put on gloves and an apron, take a ball and inflate it to a diameter of 8-10 cm. Now we begin to wrap it with a thread on the principle of winding a ball. We wind the thread in several layers loosely, leaving gaps. That's all. We cut the thread, hide the tip of it, and hang the ball to dry for about a day. Then we pierce the inflatable base with a needle, release air, pull it out from the inside. The result was a light balloon of thread in the form of a transparent cobweb. On one side we sew a loop from a narrow satin ribbon to it, we lower two or three beads for decoration. You can hang on the Christmas tree.
Girls who know how to crochet easily make lace decorative balls of thread. You will need threads for knitting, preferably with lurex, a balloon,
PVA glue, slightly diluted with water, a crochet hook, satin ribbon. Let's choose different lace patterns for knitting round napkins. The pattern is better to take a lace and transparent. We will connect two round napkins of small diameter (8-10 cm), connect them together in the shape of a ball and dip them into glue. Lubricate the balloon with fat, insert into the knitted and inflate. The lace will straighten out and take the desired shape. Dry the ball of thread, pierce the rubber base and pull it out. We will decorate the lace miracle with a satin bow, make a loop and hang it on a Christmas tree.
How to make balls of thread on a Christmas tree in a third way? Any thread (silk, mohair, cotton, lurex, etc.) is suitable for their manufacture. Still need plastic transparent Christmas tree toys or foam blanks for them, a needle and various decor (beads, beads, ribbons, feathers). We remove the mount from the Christmas ball (the loop for hanging it) and begin to wrap it with threads from all sides in different directions, creating a dense, even surface. We wind the threads in several rows, very evenly and accurately. In our hands we got a glomerulus of colored threads of the same color. Now let's get into its decor.
