Speaking about the appearance of the plant, it can be noted that the currant Titania, the photo of which we see here, has round black berries of a rather large size. The weight of each fluctuates around two grams, and in one brush there are about twenty of these berries. Currant has a dense structure and a sweet aftertaste with a sour tint. Thanks to its qualities, the berry is easily and successfully transported without losing its benefits. It is for this reason that Titania was chosen for industrial cultivation, because it is easy to assemble using machines.
After the ripening of the crop, you can observe the uneven distribution of berries on the surface of the bush. As for the quantity, on average, you can collect up to five kilograms from one bush. The bush itself is quite high and can reach one and a half meters in height.
Species history
Currant Titania, a description and recommendations for the care of which we present to you, appeared in Sweden as a result of mixing varieties of currants Altai and Must Tamas. This happened in 1970, and already in the 90s this variety appeared in many industrial territories for currant cultivation in Russia. After a series of studies, it was found that this new variety has many advantages over other species, which means it makes sense to develop and multiply it. In addition to excellent taste, currant berries perfectly fight many diseases and pests. It is also worth saying that the experts did not stop there, they continue to study and try to get even more new varieties of currants.
Landing
A variety of Titania currants is recommended to be planted around the perimeter of the garden. You can do this both in the fall and in the spring. Given the size of the bushes, you need to leave between them about two meters of free space so that in the future the currant can develop quietly. It is allowed to plant currants in the form of a checkerboard, as this makes it easy to harvest. But this option is appropriate if you intend to plant large areas of this berry. Before planting, you need to worry about soil preparation:
- remove all weeds and their roots from the place chosen for planting;

The plant is able to grow even in the northernmost regions of the country, as it easily tolerates frosts. Breeding
Currant Titania breeds in two ways:

Possible problems
Currant Titania grows well and develops in the most difficult natural conditions, and one of the advantages is resistance to diseases such as powdery mildew and anthracosis. But still, sometimes there are some problems that can be successfully solved if you approach this process correctly:
- "Shoot galitsa", a sign of which is the drying of branches and the appearance of spots; It is recommended to remove all damaged branches, and treat the entire bush with a suitable preparation in accordance with the instructions;
- “Stennichnitsa”, causing complete destruction of the bush, as the larvae eat the entire inside of the trunk; you need to treat the bush with the right tool, and in the future, carefully monitor the plant, especially after feeding fertilizer;
- "Spider mite", the presence of which is indicated by spots of light color, as well as the acquisition by the leaves of a marble structure; it is necessary to apply the recommended drugs, and then loosen the soil and remove weeds, and remove and burn all affected leaves;
- “Fruit sawfly”, the presence of which is indicated by the uneven surface of the berries, since the sawfly larvae eat out the entire pulp of the fruit from the inside; you need to remove and burn all the damaged parts of the bush, and treat all the bushes with means against this pest.
Harvest
