The foundation is the foundation of any modern (and not only) home. Without it, you cannot even build a more or less reliable barn, so you should take its filling as seriously as possible.
Before
pouring the foundation under the house, you need to carefully prepare everything. First of all, this concerns the correct layout and
alignment of the site.Getting ready
We will not talk about markup, since here everything depends on the size of your future housing and on architectural preferences. Before starting further work, it is necessary to thoroughly clean the area from stumps, metal trash and piles of construction waste. If there is such a need, compare all the knolls, since clearly marking them out will not work.
Before pouring the foundation under the house, be sure to do a geodetic study of the site! Do not spare money for it, because otherwise you risk not only spending much more, but even staying homeless. Spring heaving has already "torn" more than one foundation for such "economists."
Getting started
After all these activities, you can start digging trenches. Regardless of how you do it (manually or by excavators), you need to constantly monitor their direction.
At least ten centimeters of rubble or coarse river sand are poured at the bottom of the dug ditches. A layer of backfilled material is rammed, poured with water and again subjected to compaction. Since it is very difficult to fill the foundation under a house without automation, it is better to purchase an automatic rammer in advance.
Fill in
The first layer of concrete is poured in 20 cm thick. After it dries slightly, a tamper is carried out. When “milk” comes out on the surface, they begin laying and tying the reinforcement. We remind you once again that it is impossible to weld it, since in this case the metal is more susceptible to corrosion!
Having laid and checked the reinforcing base, pour the concrete mixture to the end. It should dry for at least a month, and in particularly hot years, the surface of the solidifying foundation must be periodically watered. Since it is too expensive and difficult to fill the foundation under the house in winter, we intentionally do not consider this option.
Formwork and ground floor
After that, you can put the formwork and start pouring the
basement. Formwork should be made only from quality whole boards. If you plan to use them several times, then the inside is additionally sealed with roofing material.
By the way, using reusable formwork, you can fill the foundation under the house, the price of which will not be so high. In general, it is not possible to calculate the cost of such work in the article, since too many factors should be taken into account.
A reinforcing base is installed in the formwork, after which it is again poured with concrete.
In general, the above technique is suitable for almost all cases. Changes have to be made not so often. For example, when you need to pour the foundation under the finished house, then the installation of the basement floor may not be necessary.
