It is worth talking about such a direction as Novorossiysk-Sevastopol. The ferry on this way began to go recently. But communication between the two cities is carried out on a regular basis. The fact is that Crimea is now connected with the Krasnodar Territory not only with a common history, culture, traditions, etc., but also with the supply of products, cars, furniture, appliances - in general, to everyone. Therefore, from the end of last, 2014, water transport began to go in the direction of Novorossiysk-Sevastopol. The ferry is large, modern - it carries out transportation calmly. The representative of the new crossing said that the cargo-passenger ship carries out ten voyages per month (both one way and the other). This may seem like a small indicator, but it is worth remembering the distance - it is rather big.

So, the freight ferry "Sevastopol-Novorossiysk" is designed for almost a hundred trucks! This is an excellent indicator - not every vessel can boast of such. The ferry travels for about 18-20 hours - it depends on the weather. Drivers of vehicles transported by the vessel are offered comfort and three full meals a day. For this reason, it is planned to launch several more such vessels. They should be more spacious. If the ferry “St. Petersburg”, which currently operates flights, can accommodate 95 trucks, then this indicator of other, larger vessels should be equal to 140 trucks. Each of the ferries will have to do two arrivals per week. Total it will be not 10, but 40 flights per month! Thus, each of the ferries will be able to transport cargo both from Crimea to the mainland and vice versa. And at the moment - this is the main task.
However, many people are interested in whether the ferry, the purpose of which is passenger transportation, will go in the direction of Novorossiysk-Sevastopol. At the moment, this idea is also under development. So far, you can get to Novorossiysk through the Kerch crossing - the ferry takes only half an hour, so you just need to take a ticket in the direction of Sevastopol-Novorossiysk and you can go on a journey. The bus will go (taking into account the time for the crossing) will be about 8 hours - not so long, by the way, as the cargo ship, which was discussed above.
