We canβt imagine our houses without plastic windows, window sills and panels, we even got plastic dishes. For better or worse, our descendants will say. If we talk about the types of plastic windows, then their range is very diverse. There are imported products from Germany, Finland or other countries. But most often another scheme works.
The profile is brought to our country by whips, and here, at Russian factories, products are made from it. Another option is when the profile is stretched with us, but from material that was brought from abroad. There are products that are made from a purely Russian profile.
Therefore,
plastic windows differ primarily in the manufacturer, and therefore in price. Russian products are cheaper than foreign counterparts. But there are other differences. Now you can order products from a profile with 3 or 4 air chambers. Some firms produce 5-chamber windows. The thickness of the profile and its operational characteristics depend on the number of chambers. A frame with a thickness of up to 65 mm has 3 chambers, and a profile of 74 mm or more may even have 6 or 8.
If we consider the types of profiles of plastic windows, then they differ not only in the size of the frame and the number of cameras. For temperature indicators, the thickness of the walls of the plastic is also important. Even a decrease of some 2 mm gives significant cost savings, but worsens heat performance.
The types of plastic windows also differ in the metal located inside the plastic profile. Closed loop allows to withstand large static loads. This is especially important on large openings or when glazing balconies, when the blocks are made in a single design from top to bottom. Wind load is also felt on high-rise buildings. The metal with an open loop is made in the form of the letter "P". It reduces the cost of the profile, but also weakens its characteristics.

If we are talking about the types of plastic windows, it is necessary to mention their external decoration. The cheapest window is made of white plastic. A painted profile or laminated with a film in the color of an oak will cost more. The painting method is also different. If it is applied to an already finished profile, then such a window is cheaper than if it is made of an extruded profile. Staining during the manufacturing process gives a better coating, since the particles of paint are mixed with the top layer of plastic and create a single alloy.

The presence of lamination allows you to expand the types of plastic windows for finishing the profile. You can order a window with simulated walnut or even cherry. True, all this affects the cost. The shape of the window also makes its difference. Windows are rectangular, in the form of a trapezoid, circle or triangle. Modern hardware allows you to open almost any configuration of windows. The price directly depends on the characteristics of the selected double-glazed window.
Therefore, when choosing a profile or company that produces it, pay attention first of all to operational characteristics. But it is better to consider the window in conjunction with installation. Even an excellent warm profile with poor installation will not be able to protect the room from the influence of environmental factors.
