The state always takes care of people who have reached old age and, according to the legislation of the Russian Federation, provides all kinds of support in the form of material assistance. Now in Russia, women go on well-deserved rest at 58 years old, men - at 63 years old. Back in 2011, the fair sex could retire at 55, and the strong at 60. At the moment, it is planned to gradually increase the retirement age to 63 years for women and 65 years for men. Those citizens who have reached eighty years of age are entitled to additional assistance from the state.
Pension increase after 80 years
Pensioners who celebrated their eightieth birthday get the opportunity to use additional benefits and bonuses of the RF PF (Pension Fund). When a pensioner reaches eighty years of age, the RF PF makes an increase in payments based on available documents on personalized accounting. Within one month, the fixed payment automatically increases. A pensioner who has reached old age does not need to go anywhere, the Pension Fund will collect all the necessary procedures and documents without the participation of an elderly person.
Care for the elderly
So that a person can take custody of a pensioner over eighty years old, you need to apply independently or through a proxy to the appropriate authority where they pay the pension. The list of necessary documents when applying includes:
- a statement from a person over eighty years old, and from a person caring for him;
- certificate that the caregiver is not the recipient of unemployment benefits and does not receive pension benefits;
- work book of a person who is going to care for a pensioner;
- passports of both citizens.
Custody of an elderly person can be issued from the age of fourteen, but at the same time you need to get parental consent for guardianship. If a student or student is going to take care, you need to provide an additional certificate from the place of study.
Compensation payout

There is no annual indexation (as is typical for pensions) of this type of payments, the compensation is 1200 rubles. Benefits for pensioners over 80
In addition to financial assistance, the centenarians whose pension will increase by 80% after 80 years also have benefits: state institutions provide places in a nursing home, permits for various health resorts, absolutely free medical care and even the provision of new housing if the old one was unsuitable for life condition.
If necessary, you can receive a full range of social services: food and meals once a day, legal advice, medical care on your own, the issuance of hygiene products, shoes and clothes.
Pensioners whose age has exceeded the eighty-year milestone will receive compensation in the amount of 9117.86 rubles under Article 17 of the Federal Law. The changes do not enter into force if the pensioner has a certificate of disability of the first group and at the moment the citizen receives a fixed base amount.
Payments for dependents of a pensioner
Pension after 80 years is increased even if dependent pensioners are disabled family members. For pensioners after eighty years, with one dependent, the payment will be 8971.62 rubles, with two - 10253.30 rubles, and with three - 11534.95 rubles.
Pensioners who have not reached the mark of 80 years and are not disabled persons of the first group, with one dependent receive a fixed rate of 5126.65 rubles per month, with two - 6408.31 rubles, and with three - 7689.97 rubles.
Increased pension and how to get it
What after eighty needs to be done to receive an increased pension? No action by the pensioner is required. All pension funds have databases in which all pensioners are registered, and after their eightieth birthday they automatically accrue increased pensions.
Already at the beginning of the month, when the anniversary is coming, pensioners receive the joyful news that the pension has been raised after 80 years. Of course, sometimes there are failures in automation, but most often they are insignificant and easily fixable.
The implementation of additional payments from the state is also provided, but for this you may need the following documents:
- if there is a disability group and a pension is paid for it, a certificate of a disabled person is required;
- the additional payment due to the death of the breadwinner must be supported by a death certificate, which is provided to the Pension Fund.
The application review process takes about two weeks, after which the pensioner will receive a notification by mail or other convenient means.

Military pension after 80 years
Veterans of service who have reached the age of 80 are entitled to a compensated pension. The state always guarantees a stable financial situation to its citizens, and annual allowances are an indicator of this:
- pensioners who went through the Great Patriotic War and became disabled for their long life receive a salary of 4,795 rubles;
- if the pensioner does not have a disabled group, the payment is 3,595 rubles;
- citizens who visited concentration camps receive material assistance in the amount of 4795 rubles;
- there were cases when military pensioners voluntarily took an active part in other wars, such citizens deserve a legal pension bonus of 2,638 rubles.
All the amounts listed above, when a citizen reaches the age of eighty, will increase by five and a half percent.
