What is the material?

The wall plasterboard has a length of 12.5 cm. This allows you to use it as a basis for the most difficult finishing materials: tile, decorative plaster, porcelain stoneware, etc. GKL sheet size 12.5 is standard. Therefore, it is not difficult to calculate the required number of plates in a particular case. It is only necessary to divide the total length of the walls by 1.2.
The manufacture of partitions during the redevelopment of the room is also what the wall GCR is used for. The dimensions of this type of sheet and the thickness of the material make it possible to quickly assemble strong and durable structures.
Mount GCR wall usually on a metal or wooden frame. At the same time, the joints are sealed with special means. The result is perfectly smooth walls. Sometimes sheets of this type are also used for covering the ceiling. However, since they are too thick, they are mainly used to create smooth surfaces.
Ceiling sheets
It is also a fairly popular type of GCR. The dimensions of the sheet (their thickness is 9.5 cm) of this type are usually 1.2x2.5 m. GCR of this type is used to create various kinds of curved and wave-like structures on the ceiling. Such sheets are bent due to the smaller thickness much easier than wall. In addition, they have a small weight, and therefore, their installation can use a smaller number of mounting profiles.
Of course, this variety is inferior in strength to the wall GCR. The dimensions of the sheets on this type of drywall are the same, but the thickness is less. However, since they are extremely rarely exposed to mechanical stresses on the ceiling, this is not of particular importance.
Arched Drywall
This variety is used in decorating much less often than the first two. The thickness of the arched gypsum board is only 6.5 cm. Therefore, it can be bent without soaking in water, using needle rollers, etc. This type of gypsum board is used mainly for the manufacture of various kinds of decorative elements.
Also sometimes strongly curved parts of ceilings and partitions are made of it. However, it is usually mounted in 2-4 layers in this case. Due to its very small thickness, this type of GCR does not differ in strength.
Moisture-resistant and fire-resistant drywall
These two species have a standard thickness of 12.5 mm. Moisture-resistant GKL is used for finishing bathrooms, pools, bathrooms, that is, rooms with high humidity. Such drywall differs from the usual one in that it has a green color and is not afraid of water. Otherwise, it is completely identical to the wall GCR. The sheet size of this species is also 1.2x2.5 m.
Fire-resistant drywall is mainly used for furnaces and fireplaces. The sizes of plates of this type are also standard - 1.2x2.5 m.
Small sheets
Recently, you can find gypsum plasterboard of other sizes on sale: 0.6x1.2, 2, 2.5, 3 m. Such sheets are convenient for finishing slopes of doors and windows. Their standard thickness is 12.5 mm. For decoration of large surfaces and the manufacture of partitions, despite the strength, they are not used. The fact is that if there are many joints in the skin, it will turn out unstable, therefore, not too high quality.

The length can be 1.5-3 m.
