Making boats and letting them through puddles and streams has always been one of the favorite pastimes of children of all ages. That is why many parents want to learn how to make a paper boat in order to play with the child and teach him to fold this figure on his own.
I must say that it is quite simple. First of all, you need to take a rectangular piece of paper. It can be just a white sheet, double-sided colored paper or something else. After all, you can make a paper boat from a newspaper or magazine page. So, the taken sheet should first be folded in half along its long side and folded up. Now bend again in half from top to bottom and turn it around again, that is, only outline the fold line. Now you need to bend the upper corners of the sheet so that they touch the middle line of the fold, trim and press the resulting triangles.
Then we bend the bottom edges of the sheet up on both sides, align everything and bend the side corners up. Once again, we bend up the lower edges and fix the corners. Now you need to stretch the resulting figure, again bend the lower corners and pull the ship in different directions by the bow and stern. That's all, one of the boat options is ready.
But how to make a paper boat of a different shape, for example, a sailboat? There is nothing simpler, only time, desire and a little patience are needed. We take a sheet of paper and bend it from the bottom up in half. Now we bend and bend to the center (that is, to the already made fold line) the upper and lower parts - also in half. The next step is to straighten the corners on the right side of the sheet. As a result, the boat is already beginning to take on familiar forms. The future sail is folded so that it turns out a rhombus. Then you should expand the entire figure to begin the last stage of the creation of the boat. To do this, the left side of the rhombus is bent up (as a result, a sail and a keel are obtained). We bend the upper corner, align the resulting figure and go to launch it in swimming. That, in fact, is all that is needed to learn how to make a paper boat.

By the way, if you wish, you can add the third option - a boat made of paper. It will take the same piece of paper for this, but itβs already square, not rectangular. It is necessary to bend it in half from top to bottom, bend it, and then bend each of the halves in half to the already outlined fold line. Now the corners of each side are bent towards the middle, and then inward. All that is needed now is to straighten the resulting figure and give it a shape more like a boat. You can go swimming.
If you take not only paper, but also scissors with glue, you can even create a paper boat with pipes. If desired, the child can color the resulting vessel or populate it with little men and play not on water, but at home. After all, a game needs only imagination. Itβs great if parents join in this fun. Such joint creativity not only contributes to the development of the babyβs abilities, but also allows more time to spend with the child.
And if you not only explain to your child how to make a paper boat, but also come up with an interesting story or take a suitable fairy tale, then such a game will become unforgettable for the baby.
