Location
Mount Sober-Bash is located 60 km from the center of Krasnodar. In good weather, it can be seen from the metropolis.
The path to the summit begins from the outskirts of the village of Ubinskaya, which can be reached from Krasnodar by bus or car along the highway leading to Novorossiysk. The average journey takes a little over an hour. The route runs through the settlements Yablonovsky, Enem, Afipskaya, Severskaya and Azov.
There is another option, how to get to the Sober Bash mountain - by train or train. A railway line running from Krasnodar to Novorossiysk runs through the village of Severskaya, which has a train station. And from it you can get on the way, by bicycle or on foot the remaining 20 km.

Mount Sober-Bash is located away from the Main Caucasian Range. It is surrounded by relatively small peaks. The height of the mountain is about 735 m. A distinctive feature of Sober-Bash is its shape. The top is as if cut off by a giant knife. Steep slopes end with a flat plateau, whose length is about a kilometer and a width of 500 m. Climbing a mountain by car

Translated from the language of the highlanders, the name means “witch’s mountain”. In ancient times, it was believed that evil triple the covens on its flat top.

There are sober bash and waterfalls. True, they are not as majestic and grandiose as the world famous Victoria or Niagara. One of them lies on the path of the circumnavigation, called "Men's Tears." Water flows down from a ledge 5-6 m high. From the name of the source it is clear that it does not differ in power and full flow. Indeed, in the Caucasus, male tears are very stingy. The second waterfall is downstream, but finding it is not so simple. Because of this, it is called the "Hidden". Its height is 11 m and it looks more picturesque. Both waterfalls are most full in the spring during the flood, and in the summer they both become shallow.
Dolmens - another attraction of Sober Bash. According to legend, the mountain was a place of power. And the purpose of these buildings has not yet been fully studied. According to one version, they served just for communication with the cosmos, for meditation and for energetic feeding of enlightened people. Unfortunately, not a single whole dolmen has been preserved, but you can see quite well-preserved ruins. One is located near the start of the ascent, and the other is at the Uteneny waterfall. Not far from dolmens, one can distinguish barrow mounds.
There are rocks on the mountain. But they are unsuitable for sport climbing.
Mount Sober Bash has now lost its sacred meaning. Today, it is like a magnet attracting those who want to relax in nature or experience the strength of spirit on steep slopes.
