Moreover, this process is not too complicated, does not take much time, and the result will bring not only positive, but also warmth to both one’s own legs and relatives (of course, if you don’t stop on the first pair).
How to knit socks with knitting needles?
Knitting patterns for this garment have been known for a long time, and there is an opinion that socks and stockings were the first products that people began to knit. It is not just that even the simplest pattern is called hosiery. But back to the technique. In fact, there are only two of them: knitting on five and on two knitting needles. So, how to knit a sock with knitting needles, and which technique to choose? First you need to decide for what purpose the product fits and to whom it is intended. After all, socks can be openwork and act only part of the image of a little lady, or they will be handed to a loved one so that he feels care. Based on the purpose of the product, both yarn and knitting technique are chosen.
Option one
Knitting socks on 2 knitting needles is very easy. Work begins with the number of loops equal to the volume of the calf of the leg without 5 cm. For knitting, you can choose any pattern. For
warm socks, this can be an elastic band alternating with braids, and for thin socks, any lace that you like is suitable. First, knit the height of the sock gum. Then, along the edges, loops are typed, the number of which should be equal to the length of the leg without taking into account the heel. Continue to work on the drawing, but with the reduction of loops either in the center and along the edges, or only along the edges in each front row. So they knit until about 10-14 loops remain on the spoke. The result should be a triangle on the leg. Next, this blank must be turned into a product. The easiest option is to knit the loops on the spoke, capturing the edges on each side. According to this scheme, knitting a sock with knitting needles is very simple.
Second option
A more complex version using five spokes. For such a product, loops are typed, the number of which should be equal to the width of the gum. They are divided into 4 parts - equally for each spoke, and one remains working.
Work in a circle without turning the future sock from side to side. They knit until the desired height is ready, then go to the heel. To knit a sock with knitting using this technique, this step is required. It is not difficult to make the heel, for this the loops from one knitting needle are not taken into work, and upon reaching it, the product is turned.
They do this until the depth of the heel is ready. After knitting only the loops of the middle part, on each side, removing and closing the loop of the adjacent knitting needle. After only one part of the loops remains, the same number of loops are gathered along the edges of the heel barrels as it was closed. Then continue to work with all the knitting needles in a circle. When the desired length of the sock is ready, all the loops are closed, making out the toe.
