The grapes referred to in this article are canteens. The Super-Extra grape variety was bred in Novocherkassk on a personal garden plot as a result of the crossing of Cardinal and Talisman grapes. The main advantage of this variety is its early maturity and rapid ripening of the vine, which allows the plant to tolerate short and cool weather conditions, without losing the yield of the current and next year.
The frost resistance of the vine is very high: the variety perfectly tolerates a decrease in temperature to -25 degrees. Grapes Super Extra (photo in the article) is considered one of the most resistant varieties in relation to a variety of diseases, such as mildew and oidium. It is these features that make it possible to successfully grow this variety in garden plots in the middle lane and even in Siberia, provided that the vines are sheltered for the period of cold weather.

Super-Extra grapes, the ripening period of which is only 90-105 days, forms quite large clusters weighing more than 0.5 kg each, and under favorable conditions reaches 1.5 kg. At the same time, a distinctive feature of the bunch is the presence in it of berries of different sizes: from very large to medium.
Super-Extra grape variety has a wonderful sweet-sour taste of berries, which have a dense skin. During the pouring period, the berries are white, and as they mature fully, they acquire a beautiful amber hue. The weight of one berry is on average about 8 g.
