Pine planting: to make the tree grow beautiful

Today it is very fashionable to use conifers to decorate the site near the house. And this is understandable, because beautiful trees all year round delight a person with their juicy bright green flowers.

Pine is one of the most popular and unpretentious plants for a suburban area. It can be decorated right on the street on New Year's holidays, in addition, having a dense crown, the tree is able to protect the house from the heat, dust and cold wind. How, then, should the trees be planted correctly on the site so that the plants develop beautiful and healthy?

Pine planting: choosing a place

When determining the place of residence of the future tree, it is necessary to take into account the fact that the plant develops very quickly and, under a favorable set of circumstances, can increase its size in height to 40 cm per year. An adult tree reaches 30-50 m. And, surprisingly, the fewer sun rays fall on the tree, the higher it grows. In order to obtain a low plant with a lush spreading crown in decades, it must be planted in an open sunny area. It should be noted that after planting, growth is almost impossible to stop. A plant can only be limited in its development: if young shoots are cut off at the end of spring and the beginning of summer, then the tree will slow down its growth and begin to develop in width.

Pine planting: seedling selection

When purchasing planting material , special attention should be paid to the safety of an earthen coma near the measles system. Saplings with bare roots, most likely, will not take root and die. Since the suction roots, which depart from the main root and nourish the whole plant, die with a lack of moisture after a quarter of an hour, and it is not possible to restore their vital activity.

Planting ordinary pine

If there is no need to plant a tree with a height of more than three meters, then the best time for work is the period from April to May, this event can be moved to the beginning of autumn. It is at this time before the start of frost that the plant goes through a period of adaptation to new conditions. If the pine tree is planted late (in November or early December), then it should be covered with spruce branches near the trunk. This is done to prevent freezing of the root system and death of the plant, which has not yet had time to take root.

Pine Planting: Creating a Pit

Before planting, you should pay attention to the soil located on the site, the size and composition of the landing pit will depend on this. If the soil is clay or loam, then the landing site will require volumetric drainage. To do this, chipped brick or medium-sized expanded clay is laid to a depth of about 20 centimeters, then a hole is filled with a mixture of sand and fertile soil. The landing site should be selected on a hill so that the plant does not get excessive moisture. For the good development of pine in the planting pit, it is necessary to pour complex fertilizer. After falling asleep and leveling the seat, abundant watering is carried out, in the future this will not have to be done.

Planting ordinary pine: care

As a rule, a tree does not require special care. However, it, like any coniferous breed, can be damaged by pests and diseases. Therefore, it is necessary from time to time to inspect the plant. A common ailment is rust, which can be eliminated by regularly collecting yellowed needles and treating the trunk with a suspension of cineb. From pests - aphids, scale insects, ticks, it is recommended to use kalbofos. To get rid of silkworms and moths that infect pine branches, it will be necessary to remove needles infected with clutches of insect pests.
