Writer Biography
Born on September 17, 1957 (Kiselevsk, Kemerovo Region), from childhood he felt a craving for reading and books. In the second year of the institute, he voluntarily went to serve in the army. I had to finish my studies after demobilization. Then there was marriage and moving to Sverdlovsk-45 (the city of Lesnoy at present).
A signalman, a tankman, a welder, a miner, a builder, an atomic industry worker, a physician, a driver, an electronics engineer and a programmer - and this is not the whole list of specialties he mastered.
Attempt at writing
Becoming a writer was not part of his plans. Passion for fantastic literature, “drunken” reading, played a role. Voronkov Nikolay he was happy to compose stories, worked on their detailed development, but he did not even think about writing them on paper. At the age of fifty-two years in his life, an accidental coincidence of three things happened: he got a whole month of free time, an opportunity to access the Internet, and the SamIzdat website was opened.
Spending reading around the clock, Nikolai Voronkov soon discovered a repeated repetition of techniques, standard plot twists in the works of the fantasy genre. The idea came up for a joke, and for two months he scribbled a small parody of fan fiction called "I want to remain myself."
After posting it on the named site, the beginning author began to receive benevolent feedback. Unexpectedly for himself. And then he continued to work on the work. Readers did not stop responding, on the contrary, began to insist on continuing. From that moment, Nikolai Alexandrovich began to write.
To date , the writer has written six books, five of which are printed. He began to work on three books, but for various reasons he had not finished yet.
His heroes, as Nikolai Voronkov admits, are wrong. Perhaps just unusual. So, in his first work we meet with the most ordinary homeless person, who found himself in another world and radically changed his life scenario.
And if the first books of Nikolai Voronkov could be attributed to the entertainment genre, then his subsequent work is an expression of the desire to beat this or that idea, the desire for philosophizing.
