Consumer corner as an integral part of the trading company

According to the law, an enterprise or organization engaged in trade or providing services to the public and legal entities must have a specially equipped stand called “Consumer Corner”. The name may be completely different: for example: “Information for customers” or “Customer note”. The most important thing is that this stand is present. This is provided for by the law of the Russian Federation “On Protection of Consumer Rights”. In accordance with this regulatory document, the activities of organizations that somehow affect the interests of the population are regulated.

A consumer’s corner is a combination of information provided in printed or hand-written form, drawn up in accordance with all the rules and in accordance with the basic requirements. This stand should be located in a place that is visible and accessible to each client. Information about the company that provides the service, its addresses and phone numbers, as well as information about services that protect consumer rights, with all kinds of contacts, is what a consumer corner is required to have. Documents posted at the stand should contain complete and truthful information about the organization, tell about the opening hours of the institution.

In addition to the above papers, excerpts from the general rules on retail are required to be attached here. Depending on the type of activity of the enterprise and the service provided, the number of points that must be provided for familiarization varies. In some places, the rulebook must be fully present. It is also mandatory to have a copy of the Law on Consumer Protection. Sometimes the organization must place at the booth price lists of services provided to the public and legal entities.

It is these forms that make up the corner of the consumer. The requirements for its registration also include the availability of papers that demonstrate to the client the number and type of organization’s license , as well as its validity. If the activity carried out by the enterprise is not subject to licensing, a copy of the state registration certificate should be placed on the stand. Also, information about the authority that issued this document should be available to the client.

The consumer’s corner contains the most important document for all organizations - the “Book of feedback and suggestions”. Any enterprise - commercial or providing services to the public - should have such a journal. Moreover, any client has the right to leave an entry in this book. Therefore, it should be in a conspicuous place. Legislatively stipulates that this journal must be issued upon request. Deviation from this paragraph is fraught with administrative responsibility. Therefore, the consumer corner is exactly the place where this magazine is located.

The head of the organization or the person replacing him must, with all severity and responsibility, monitor the correctness and timeliness of the design of the book. However, it must be registered with the local government. The consumer’s corner may also contain background information, announcements, and customer greetings on holidays and weekends.
