Military charter and its components

The military charter of the armed forces is a set of laws, rules and norms that guide people who are doing military or contract service in the army. It is a directory structured and divided into sections and subsections. The military charter of the Russian Federation consists of four parts:

  • Military charter
charter of garrison and guard duty,
  • disciplinary charter
  • internal service charter
  • drill charter.

Each of these components regulates a separate field of activity. Such a division appeared after the end of the revolution in 1917. Prior to this, military service was regulated by other regulatory documents. So, for example, the military charter of Peter 1 was used until the beginning of the 20th century. Some of its principles have been preserved in a modern presentation.

Internal Service Charter

The daily life of military personnel is regulated by the charter of the internal service of the Russian Federation. It describes the main provisions regarding the actions of soldiers, sergeants and officers in peacetime. In addition, the internal service charter describes the conditions for the maintenance of barracks, the procedure for appointment to orders and other types of services. Separately, you can highlight the list of responsibilities that are contained in this part. It is here that the main responsibility of an official, as well as those who intervene in an outfit for a company, canteen, unit, is described.

Disciplinary charter

The concepts of seniority and subordination are described in the disciplinary charter. There is also information about the powers that officials have in relation to their subordinates. The military charter in this section describes the procedure for imposing and removing penalties and incentives, making proposals and filing complaints. It is worth noting that the rules of the disciplinary regulations apply to people who have already completed military service and have been transferred to the reserve, in the event that they wear military uniforms and appear in public places.

Charter of garrison and guard duty

The guard and garrison service performs the most responsible task of guarding warehouses with weapons and ammunition, military equipment and the territory of the unit. For this reason, the most severe punishment for violating the rules for its bearing is provided. The charter of the garrison and guard service describes the duties of persons entering the outfit, as well as the nuances of the performance of duties.

Drill Charter

A tidy appearance and drill alignment - these are integral characteristics of any military man. The military charter defines not only the rules for the maintenance and wearing of military uniforms, but also the manner of movement in combat and marching steps, the elements of handling weapons and with a banner. All this is described by the combatant charter, giving specific instructions on the elements of the combatant stand, military greetings, and other external manifestations of military training.

The military charter is obligatory for all units and formations of the armed forces. For this reason, it is called general military. Failure to comply with its rules and regulations may result in disciplinary action or criminal liability. Cases of particularly grave violations of the provisions of the military regulations are examined in a military court.
