Dota 2 is one of the few projects that managed to revolutionize the gaming industry. This is a popular game that has taken eSports disciplines to a whole new level. Over the entire existence of the concept of the MOBA genre, the game has gone from a user map to a world-class game that gathers millions of spectators at tournaments. Current e-sportsmen have a high-paid hobby (rather, work), playing on venues and tournament competitions. In order for a gamer to be noticed by a professional team, you need to improve your skills and increase your rating. Beginners may think about what a rating is and how to find out their MMR in DotA 2.
What is a rating?
Before you know your MMP in Dota, you need to understand the concept of personal rating. MMP (from the English Matchmaking Rating) is a system that assigns each user a rating that increases / decreases depending on the results of the match. In November 2017, a major update was released, which replaced the numerical value of the rating with the ranks in Dota 2. MMP ranks, in turn, are divided into degrees (from 0 to 5). The introduced system is identical to the rank system in CS: GO, but the community is somewhat saddened by the introduced system. Some players had to re-calibrate for the ranks, and new results greatly saddened the players. In fact, there was no balance between the ranks, in practice it became noticeable that the search for the game remained long.
How to find out your MMP in DotA 2
Unfortunately, the new ranking system has fundamentally changed the politics of ranked games. Now find out your MMR in “DotA 2” as before. You have to get used to the new ranks and categories by which you can determine the quality of the user's game. After ten calibration games, the gamer is assigned a title and degree, for example, "Hero 2". To roughly evaluate the numerical value of the rating, you need to find a table with the transfer of ranks in the usual rating.

Click on the tab "My profile", a window with a player’s profile will appear in front of the user, where relevant and useful information for other gamers is collected. Under the image of the avatar, the rank and degree will be located, hover over it with the cursor, useful rating information will pop up.
In older versions, the MMP was also located next to the player’s icon. The main differences from today's system are that the rating was previously numerical and could be deactivated (hide from other users).
How to increase rating
Here everything is as simple as possible - you need to win more often than lose. According to some information, the rating is also affected by a series of victories / defeats and complaints against the user. It is clear that wins and losses are evaluated equally, that is, the rating will be stable if you alternate between victory and defeat. To increase the rank, it is best to assemble your team from users with whom you are comfortable playing.
