Crafts from paper - a fascinating activity for children. Thanks to him, perseverance appears, fine motor skills of the hands develop. An origami boat is one of the simplest types of crafts.
What is necessary
For work it is necessary to prepare:
- Piece of paper. Anyone will do. But keep in mind that the higher the density of the paper, the better the boat will “survive” the journey through the water.
- PVA glue. It is not required to assemble the product itself. But it can come in handy to give strength to the boat. Glued and dried out elements will become more resistant to water.
Scheme of a simple boat
An origami boat requires a square shape leaf. If it is rectangular, then this is easy to fix. You need to arrange the sheet vertically in front of you. Bend one of the corners as shown. The portion of paper remaining below can be cut off or torn off gently.
Beginners are advised to assemble an origami boat according to the scheme:
- Fold a sheet of paper horizontally twice and mark the fold line. Then deploy it again.
- Fold the top and bottom edges of the sheet toward the center. Their edges should be close along the previously indicated line. It is necessary to press both bends with your fingers so that they lock in this position.
- Then bend inward all four corners of the resulting workpiece.
- Next, you need to bend all the corners inward again. This time, the fold line should reach the middle of the upper and lower parts. The result is a rhombus located horizontally.
- The upper and lower corners of the rhombus must be folded inward, to the center of the figure.
- Now you need to raise the sides formed on the sides. Hold the edges with your fingers and turn the boat inside out.
The craft is ready.
Origami boat with sail
Another option for crafts. The performance is as simple as the first. But in this case, the origami boat will be with a sail. The basis for the product is also a sheet of square paper.
- You need to fold the square diagonally so that a triangle forms.
- Bend the top corner of the triangle down to the base and fix the fold line. Turn the workpiece over and repeat the same steps on the other side.
- In this position, bend up the right corner. Then bend the left corner too.
- After that, you need to bend up the bottom corner to the middle of the figure.
- Now you can turn over the workpiece and the boat with the sail is ready.
For this product, you can paint a sheet of paper on one side. Then, in the finished boat, the base will turn out one color, and the sails - another.
Origami paper boat for children and beginners may not seem so simple. The scheme should be followed. It is enough to once master the technique and the tips will no longer be needed.
During operation, it is recommended to carefully and accurately bend the edges, smooth the fold lines and not wrinkle the paper. Then the boat will turn out beautiful and will not have to redo it.
If, nevertheless, some mistakes were made in the process, then you should not try to repeat the steps with the same sheet of paper. It is better to use a new blank so that the old folds and bumps are not confused.
