Any player who launches Counter Strike: Global Offensive, thinks about how to configure the sight in the "COP: GO". Indeed, the standard sight of many does not suit and is simply inconvenient, but in a game where reaction plays a decisive role, you need to ensure comfort for yourself first of all.
Unfortunately, a simple setup through some separate menu in the game is not provided. That is why the adjustment of the sight in "KS: GO" can only be carried out using specialized console commands.
Why change the scope?
It’s worth noting that the adjustment of the sight in “KS: GO” is an exclusively visual element that makes the gameplay more convenient. This does not bring any advantages from a technical point of view, that is, each player independently chooses which option for him is the most acceptable sight.
It is worth noting the fact that some hardcore players completely turn off the scope, playing without it, which can also be done. Professionals who use predominantly AWP in matches train in this way on other weapons in order to hone their shooting skills “from the hip”.
How to enter commands?
In order to enter a command, you must first open the console. To do this, click the “~” button, and in the window that appears, enter those commands that interest you. Pay special attention to ensure that the console is in English, as otherwise you simply won’t be able to enter any commands.
Unlike older versions of Counter Strike, the console has already been done more for convenience in the new online shooter. For example, it is used to configure the sight in “KS: GO”, the weather is selected, as well as other minor elements. All kinds of host restarts, killing all with one team, and so on are a thing of the past.
What commands do you need to enter?
You can set the scope in “KS: GO” by introducing various commands. It should be noted right away that if a command turns a specific function on or off, in this case you need to write “0” - “off” after it or "1" - "on":
- cl_crosshairgap_usewaeponvalue. Use of this command is relevant for style 4 and 5. It can be used only if you have such a sight in “KS: GO”. Turns on or off the various Crosshairgrap for different types of weapons.
- cl_crosshairsize. Sets the length of the tick marks. If you set the value to 0, then there will be no sight at all.
- cl_crosshairdot. Turns on or off the point that is in the center of the sight. You can also simply replace the scope in “KS: GO” with a point.
- cl_crosshaircolor. After the command, numbers from 1 to 5 are entered to adjust the color of the sight.
- cl_crosshairstyle. After the command, numbers from 1 to 5 are entered to change the style of the sight.
- cl_crosshairgap. The gap between the divisions of the sight is set. It is worth noting that professional players most often set the value to 1.
- cl_crosshair_drawoutline. Turn on or off the stroke around the scope.
- cl_crosshairusealpha. Makes the scope in “KS: GO” transparent or opaque.
