The internationalization of culture: the concept of what is connected

The internationalization of culture is a process due to which the specificity of culture ceases to exist, it becomes similar to others identical to itself. Differences disappear, so culture can become global. This process carries a number of shortcomings and positive aspects for people. What is the internationalization of culture connected with?

The emergence of the concept

Man and Globalization

This process exists as much as civilization. As a person begins to move around the world, he begins to accelerate. In ancient times, people had an idea of neighbors and the specificity of their views, so they could add some components to their culture. The internationalization of culture is particularly vivid in trade relations between countries, as people shared news with representatives of other countries. Previously, other people's traditions and views were absorbed into society not so quickly, but still took place.

Even in antiquity, there were problems of the internationalization of culture, as close countries became identical, gradually losing their originality. The consequence was the disappearance of the state due to joining another, so many nationalities did not reach modern times.

The relationship between internationalization and human development

Loss of identity

Many researchers in the field of globalization have noticed that the internationalization of culture contributes to the worldwide division of cultures into ever wider segments. Only a person brings this influence, since over time he develops, does not want to be in one territory and moves to other cities or countries, and accordingly, integrates parts of his culture into them.

When a person in his development reaches heights and builds the first cars, fast ships, planes and helicopters, then internationalization happens even faster. Now a person could influence not only neighboring countries, but also those that were on another continent. It is for this reason that today there are so many countries that are similar to each other with their mentality, traditions and views.

True, today you can still find states that have not lost their identity for a fraction. For example, tribes in Africa who still lead a primitive lifestyle, renouncing all the innovations of technological progress.

Faster cultural internationalization

Internationalization and the Internet

Today it is developing as quickly as possible, since the main reason was created by man - the Internet. Initially, people limited themselves to telephone communications, which also contributed to the integration of cultures. Nowadays there is the Internet, and it is able to connect the inhabitants of the two ends of the planet in seconds. People communicate a lot of information to others, so cultures become the same. Also, the presence on the Web of a huge number of articles about representatives of another country, about their traditions have an unprecedented impact, which is why many ethnic groups can completely disappear, merging with large and influential countries.

What is it connected with?

Mix of cultures

The internationalization of culture, judging by what has been said, is directly dependent on the Internet. Because of this, many languages, art, ways of life in one country disappear. Globalization today covers everyone and everything, so it is impossible not to notice its influence.

Moreover, many countries today are trying to maintain their identity through economic measures. For example, in many cities they do not raise salaries so that people do not become like leading cultures, but lead a familiar, traditional way of life. But no matter how hard the authorities try, the process, once started, will not stop. People are accustomed to openness, so they will seek communication with other continents and countries.

Mainly internationalization is caused by economic globalization. Many years ago, it seemed impossible for the world economy to really appear and work for a long time. But now everyone sees how the economies of countries cooperate, unite, and this gives them a chance to stay afloat, constantly have a stable financial situation and status. An association like the European Union fully reveals the essence of the previous proposal. Countries actively cooperate, help each other, decide something together and, as a result, become similar in their chosen strategies for the development of the economic and, accordingly, social structure.
