The second type of such tools - spouts for potatoes with a variable working width - is most common. The working tool of this mechanism can be adjusted to any row width. To move it, a sufficiently powerful walk-behind tractor is needed - more than 3.5 l / s. You can work with its use on moist soil. However, this equipment does not dry out the soil as much as the first type. However, it costs more and, of course, requires more energy.
The most convenient to date are disk spouts for potatoes. This is the easiest type of equipment. They are extremely convenient in operation. They can be adjusted to any row width. The earth sticks to them less, and ridges with their use are higher.
Often, summer residents plant potatoes with the help of hosers of this particular type. With the help of them ridges are cut, and then tubers are planted either in ridges or in furrows, as anyone suits. Planting material is filled with soil in reverse of the walk-behind tractor. Such equipment is much more expensive than the first two types of hills. However, given their extraordinary effectiveness, it is most expedient to use them for processing potato fields.
In addition to okuchnik for motoblocks, there are manual options. They are much less convenient to use. Many craftsmen make such equipment on their own. At the same time, the working width is not adjustable. However, during the work, the width of the soil dump can be changed by deepening more or less the tip of the hiller into the ground. If the rows are narrow, you should not press the handles too much. The design of such models provides handles both front and rear. When hilling, equipment is moved by two people. Some worker pulls in front, another pushes from behind. Only small areas can be processed with this mechanism, since a lot of physical effort is spent on it.
Hilling and planting potatoes with a hiller-walk-behind tractor (as well as a manual version) significantly reduces time and labor. It’s definitely worth a little money and acquiring such equipment for a summer cottage.
