Gene Kazama is a Japanese fighter, as well as a character in the universe and computer game of the same name Takken (Iron Fist). He is the youngest participant in the tournament, and therefore appeared only in the third part. But he is more popular than many older fighters.
Usually wears pants with a pattern in the form of a flame and a sweatshirt, however, he can also dress up in a tuxedo. Until the 6th part, he was a positive character, and then could not resist and moved to the dark side of the force.
Curriculum Vitae
The boy’s early childhood was carefree, but at the age of 15, a tragedy occurred in his family that greatly changed Gina. Hatred and cruelty settled in him - two traits that very soon began to make themselves felt.
Jin Kazama is the son of Joon Kazama and Kazui Mishima, the grandson of Heihachi Mishima and the great-grandson of Jinpachi Mishima. His family owned a huge Zaibatsu Mishima corporation, but the boy clearly did not like his relatives, so he first wanted to run away from them, and then decided to completely destroy them.
To do this, he began to actively study karate, and by the age of 19 he had already reached the first tournament in his life. But not only this helped the guy in the future to win crushing victories over the most powerful opponents.
Demon
Gene Kazama has one interesting feature, thanks to which he saved his life more than once. In deadly situations, the devil awakens in him, which is stronger, more enduring and more dangerous than the fighter himself.
That's just, unlike Gene, the demon is 100% negative character. Therefore, when the transformation occurs, the guy has to make a lot of effort so as not to commit bad deeds. True, he does not always succeed. So, in one part of the Tekken game, Gene Kazama nevertheless loses control of himself, after which he almost makes the first big mistake in his life. In the end, he is artificially separated from the demon, and he becomes an independent character.
Tekken 3
So, June Kazama got pregnant from Kazui Mishima during the second Iron Fist tournament. She left to give birth to the mountains, where she later raised her son and taught him the fighting style that her family practiced. When the guy turned 15 years old, Ogre attacked their house. June helped her son escape, but she herself could not escape.
Returning back, he saw that their house was burned down, and his mother disappeared without a trace. Even then, the guy felt that something evil was born in him. But then Gene thought only of one thing - revenge.
After that incident, he enters the Mishima family, where he is very warmly received. Grandfather begins to teach him martial arts, and when the guy turns 19 years old, he is invited to participate in a tournament in which Gene reaches the finals and meets with the same Ogre. Kazama defeats the monster, but his grandfather, for some reason, decides to kill his grandson, so he orders him to be shot.
It was then that his first transformation took place. Jin does not die from his injuries, but rises in the form of a demon. Throws grandfather from a great height, and then disappears in an unknown direction.
Tekken 4
After the events of Tekken 3, Jin became even worse off with the Mishima family. He spent two years in Brisbane, where he again studied the traditional style of karate. The fourth tournament was approaching, and Gene Kazama could not miss it.
Reaching the seventh round, he meets with Kazui. But the battle is interrupted, as he is surrounded by a special detachment of the Zaibatsu Mishima Corporation, handcuffed and sent to the estate to Heihachi. Kazui also leads there.
Grandfather decides to use Gene to summon a demon, and he does it. But as soon as he transforms, he attacks his father and defeats him. Heihachi himself is trying to fight his grandson in order to rob him of his strength, but he is defeated. And Jin in the form of a demon can no longer stop and decides to kill both. They are saved only by the sudden appearance of the mother’s spirit, which reassures the guy. At this moment, humanity awakens in Gin, and he releases his relatives, and he leaves the temple.
Tekken 5
Over time, Gin only gets worse. The guy is tormented by nightmares, and his devilish essence manifests itself more and more often. He would have to get rid of it, but the fifth Tekken tournament will soon begin (the game based on the universe is really exciting).
Participating in competitions, Jin meets his old friend - Hworang, who practices taekwondo. Their paths once already crossed, but then no one won. After this, Hvorang trained for a long time, so that next time he would become the best.
And so it happened, Hvorang defeated Gin, but Kazama again took a demonic form and brought down his ire with all his fury. He could not stand the onslaught and eventually ended up in the hospital, and Jin reached the finals, where he was facing a battle with his great-grandfather - Jinpachi Mishima. He easily defeated the old man, but this time decided not to leave, but to head the Zaibatsu Mishima corporation.
Tekken 6
The leadership of a huge company did not benefit him. By that time, he was completely swallowed by darkness, and he began to wreak havoc throughout the world. First, Gene Kazama ("Tekken 6" - the part in which his gut is fully revealed) crushed the power of each country, enlisting the support of a special unit. Then “Zaibatsu Mishima” took possession of all resources, seized all oil fields and even space colonies, and subsequently proclaimed itself a separate nation and declared war on the whole world.
Only one organization remained that was not afraid to challenge Gene Kazama. It is headed by Kazui Mishima, who, dreaming of taking away his son’s strength, appoints a reward for his head. True, he only annoys his offspring with this, which means that the sixth Iron Fist tournament will open soon.
Other appearances of Gene Kazama
Despite the fact that Tekken is primarily a game, the young Japanese fighter can also be found in other multimedia projects. For example, little Jin is featured in the anime Takken: The Motion Pictures. He is also in the Tekken feature film, where he participates in a tournament to avenge his grandfather for killing his mother.
In addition, the character is found in the short film Street Fighter: The Devil Within, as well as in the cartoon "Tekken: Blood Vengeance", where Gene Kazama again wants to defeat his relatives, and he succeeds.
