What do you need

  • Transparent fishing line (you can buy it at a needlework store or ask your husband and fisherman).
  • Long special needle for beadwork with a thin eye.
  • Dark brown beads.
  • Light brown beads.
  • A few yellow beads.
  • White beads.
  • Ear hooks (special hooks for earrings).
  • Little scissors.
  • Fabric in a contrasting color with beads.

Weave owls

  • The first row, which we pick up, is located in the widest part of the body of the owl: we collect 2 dark brown beads, 6 light brown and 2 more dark brown.
  • We thread the last bead of the row from the penultimate side with fishing line.
  • Pass the second bead from the end from the third.
  • We do this action with all the beads.
  • We start the next row: for this, we collect one dark brown bead on a fishing line and thread the needle through the loop between the first and second beads of the first row.
  • In this way we add another 1 dark brown, 5 light brown and 2 dark brown beads.
  • The third row is braided in the same way as the second: we sew 2 dark brown, 4 light brown and 2 dark brown beads.
  • The fourth row consists of 2 dark brown, 3 light brown and 2 more dark brown beads.
  • In the fifth row you should get 6 dark brown beads.
  • In the sixth row, weave 5 dark brown beads.
  • Now make the paws, for this, collect 3 dark brown beads, pass the line through the second, third and fourth beads, type 3 more of the same color and extend the line into 5 parts.
  • Fasten and cut the fishing line.
  • Now we will make the upper part of the owl: to the row that you wove first, weave 2 dark brown, 5 light brown and 2 dark brown beads (we will re-count the rows from the middle row, the row that you just twisted will be called second).
  • Weave the third row from the top with 8 dark brown beads.
  • In the fourth row are 3 dark brown, 1 yellow and 3 dark brown beads.
  • Next, separately weave the head and connect the torso with it.
  • For the head weave the first row of 1 dark brown, 1 white, 1 light brown, 1 white, 1 dark brown, 1 white, 1 light brown, 1 white and 1 dark brown.
  • We attach to this row from below one row of 1 dark brown, 2 white, 2 yellow, 2 white, 1 dark brown beads.

From above to this row weave 2 rows as follows:

  • First row: 1 dark brown, two white, two dark brown, 2 white, 1 dark brown.
  • The second row consists of 7 dark brown beads.
  • An owl of beads has “ears” on its head, they are made in the same way as you did paws.
  • Connect the head to the body.

Solid Owl decoration

This jewelry will be made using the “beadwork” technique. An owl, which will result from the fact that you sew beads on a piece of leather, can be used as a hairpin, pendant or brooch.

The tools you need to make such a decoration

  • Beads of white color (size No. 6, 10, 11).
  • Oblong white beads (rice).
  • Oblong beads of graphite color (rice).
  • Silver color beads (size No.15).
  • Graphite beads.
  • Large rhinestones of amber color.
  • Leather.
  • Super glue.
  • A sheet of thick paper.
  • Thin fishing line.
  • Fabric-based non-woven fabric.
  • Long bead needle with a thin eye.
  • Accessories for the jewelry you want to make (a pin for a brooch, a metal eyelet and a chain for a pendant or hairpin).

Beaded Owl

  • We collect 30 white beads No. 10 and make a ring from them.
  • Brick weaving (how it is done, we described in the previous workshop) weave a row of white beads in size 11.
  • We sew the next row with silver beads of 15 sizes.
  • The fourth row also weave silver beads.
  • We insert an amber-colored bead into the resulting ring.
  • We weave another ring in the same pattern and insert a second bead into it, securing it with two rows of silver beads.
  • We attach silver-colored beads to the ring from the wrong side.
  • We take a rectangular piece of non-woven base and, stepping back two cm from the top edge and 1.5 cm from the sides, we sew the braided beads close to each other.
  • We sew each eye in a circle with white beads No. 10: for this, stick the needle into the fabric near the bead, string the bead on the fishing line, sew it to the fabric, making a loop around it, sew the next bead near the first, and process the entire circumference of the eye.
  • Make three “cilia” of oblong white beads at the top of each eye.
  • Sew horizontally oblong graphite bead between the eyes below.
  • Draw a torso-semicircle under the already embroidered eyes of an owl.
  • Sew the outline of this circle in white beads of 10 sizes.
  • Embroider the first row of the body with white beads No. 6 in the form of two semicircles. The beginning of the first semicircle will be near the first bead, and the end near the nose of the owl, the second semicircle starts from the nose and ends near the opposite border.
  • Alternating beads of white and hematite color, row after row fill the entire body.
  • Glue a piece of thick paper to the non-woven base on which the owl is embroidered.
  • Glue thin skin to the paper.
  • Cut the excess material around the owl’s office.
  • From both edges, immediately under the eyes, sew horizontally 3 white oblong beads - these will be wings.
  • Sew two legs of three oblong graphite beads to the bottom of the body of the owl.
  • Stitch the owl in a circle to hide all sloppy leather edges.
  • Sew accessories.
