The nuclear family is the foundation of modern society

What is family? This is a group of people connected by social need, which is determined by the need for self-production - both physical and spiritual. Family - the greatest moral value, the same for all people, regardless of their nationality, occupation, place of residence. The form of such a union may be different, but just such a collective formed the direction of development of society, its macro-social systems.

A family, regardless of its type or species, is equally important for children and adults. For a child, this is a place of growing up, an environment that provides him with intellectual, physical, moral development. Finally, this is a place that is safe for existence.

For an adult, this is a source of satisfaction, an object of care.

The family is a collective, therefore, each member has his own requirements. The social status of the growing family member is changing, therefore, the requirements are changing. However, from the moment of birth to death, each person, in addition to his material condition, nationality, etc., is the bearer of such a characteristic as marital and family status.

All families are classified according to certain criteria:

β€’ size (number of members);

β€’ type (nuclear family, complex, complete, incomplete);

β€’ the number of children (small, medium, large).

In addition, family ties can be classified according to the form of marriage (monogamous / polygamous), gender of spouses (same-sex / bisexual), relation to parents (parent / reproductive), and many other signs.

Today, the nuclear family consisting of spouses with or without children is becoming the most common in the world. By their type, such families can be elementary, compound, complex.

The elemental consists of one or two spouses (complete / single-parent family). A compound is considered one in which several children.

A complex nuclear family consists of several generations, may include grandmothers, aunts, nephews, etc. Today, patriarchal families are found less and less.

The nuclear family implies the independence of its members, their sovereignty in relation to each other. Such a married team is recognized as the solid foundation of society.

If young people grew up in a small family, were spoiled idolized children, then they are not able to create a healthy and happy marriage. Spouses begin to show authoritarianism, creating not a friendly and understanding team, but an antagonistic society. If overstated social demands of at least one of the spouses are imposed on authoritarianism, then this even more negatively affects the state of marriage, its strength. Poor preparedness for life within one's own family leads first to conflicts (including in intimate relationships), then to divorces.

Modern nuclear families often suffer from social turmoil, from complete unpreparedness for intimate life.

The increasing number of divorces is a direct threat to the social well-being of society. That is why the nuclear family has become the cause of scrutiny today. She is interested in psychologists, sociologists, ethnographers, sexologists, etc.

What is a nuclear family? This is the most adapted type of sibling collective to date. She is maximally adapted to industrial society. Its members can have different professions, everyone can realize their abilities, have personal merits, independent of other relatives.

A number of social benefits free the elderly from family care, allowing them to survive on their own.

However, it is precisely these characteristics that weaken family ties, contribute to a significant increase in psychological and physical stress, lower fertility, and make relationships more emotional and intense.

A strong nuclear family requires spouses to have more patience, the ability to listen to each other, tact and endurance.
