Conductive adhesive

When creating electronic equipment and devices, conductive glue is used. It is used for mounting electronic parts of microcircuits and must have appropriate parameters for electrical and thermal resistance.

Conductive adhesive
In this article we will consider the composition and application areas of glue.

Conductive glue must have a small specific and thermal resistance. At the same time, its contact properties must be strong, reliable and durable.

It is possible to create stable electrical characteristics of the adhesive by introducing nickel powder into its composition. Sometimes palladium, silver and gold are used for these purposes. The larger the metal fraction in the adhesive, the better the current flow will be, however, the contact strength will be lower.

Conductive glue will be elastic, and the connection will be more durable if polymer binders are introduced into its composition. They guarantee good adhesive properties and low adhesive density.

Polymer-based adhesive protects microchips from shock, vibration and constant temperature changes.

Conductol glue meets all modern requirements. It includes a viscous composition based on synthetic resins. The conductivity is provided by finely divided silver powder. By adding various alcohol solvents to the glue, you can adjust its viscosity.

Many experienced radio amateurs make conductive glue with their own hands. They know the universal composition of glue, which can be used to glue resistors, transistors, microcircuits and radiators.

There is no big secret in this, so below we will consider how to cook homemade conductive glue at home.

1. We take a small tube of superglue made by Chinese masters. Open the packaging foil on the opposite side. Pour in there pre-prepared graphite, in an amount equal to the amount of glue. Graphite can be cleaned with a pencil for drawing (a simple pencil). The stylus should be soft. Mix the resulting mixture thoroughly with a match, and then close the packaging foil. Conductive glue is ready to use.

If you don’t have super glue at hand, you can apply caponlac for these purposes.

2. You can use the graphite rod of the finger battery and the same zaponlak. Graphite powder must be mixed with zaponlak until the density of sour cream. This glue has excellent conductivity. It should be noted that only tracks of television remotes are restored with such home-made glue.

3. This composition includes finely ground graphite and copper filings. Glue or varnish is used to connect these materials . Graphite can be removed from the pencil lead by cutting it. Copper filings are obtained by treating a piece of copper with a small file. We connect two fractions of copper filings and one fraction of graphite dust. We bind this mixture with glue. If there is no glue, you can apply cedar varnish.

4. Universal composition having excellent conductivity and strength. We will need 15 g of graphite powder, 30 g of finely dispersed silver, the same amount of vinyl chloride copolymer and 32 g of purified acetone. The composition is thoroughly mixed. Keep glue should be in glass packaging.
