Poles from CD Project enjoy a huge credit of trust among gamers from around the world, which is not available to all companies. Now in the bowels of the studio, work is in full swing on the final part of the history of the witcher Geralt - The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. What is this project about? Read in our preview.

And again we return to Geralt of Rivia, also known as Gwynbleidd, which in the language of older speech means "White Wolf". The third part promises to present a rich and fascinating story, hitherto not yet known to the players. In this part of the series, the witcher will have to cope with the invasion of the Nilfgaard Empire - a huge state spread in the south of the continent, whose power and scope are truly staggering, ruthlessness terrifies, and the prosperity of the court individuals calls for deplorable envy. However, not only Nilfgaard will become a dark force, carrying pain, death and destruction. Geralt will finally be able to meet face to face with the demons of the mythical Wild Hunt, more than once mentioned on the pages of stories, as well as in previous parts of the games of the series.
As before, the developers promise to please gamers with an abundance of vague solutions that cannot be divided into black and white, right and wrong. The world surrounding the White Wolf is filled with callous halftones and forgotten benefactors. There is no good and evil, true and erroneous ideals. All what drives most of the characters is instant profit and unbridled egoism.All decisions made by the player in the course of the narrative will find their direct reflection on the development of history, which will somehow affect the final state It’s up to you, for whom Geralt will become a good conversationalist, whose heart is pierced by hatred and whose decisive glance will touch his life, it’s up to you that the stated number of endings leads to one of the chosen paths of the trip - there are 36 of them!
An equally important element contributing to the growth of the project’s popularity should be an open world. Now we can travel not only on our own, but also on a thoroughbred stallion across endless expanses filled with small villages, swamps, large cities and mountain peaks. Geralt can even be at the helm of a frail boat, plowing the stormy bosom of the ocean. The game will be able to boast not only the main storyline, planning to stretch for an impressive 50 hours, but also a colossal amount of less bulky stories. As the developers themselves assure, the secondary quests will amaze the players with their variety and non-triviality, which promise to stretch for another 30-50 hours.
Along with this, the newfound ability to hunt for various monsters can become another trump card in the arms of the 3rd Witcher. All outlandish animals that catch the eye of a hero can easily become his trophy. Add to this list interesting mini-games, gathering, crafting and a detailed study of the world, after which you will certainly understand that in such a huge, ecosystem-specific world, everyone will find fun to their liking.
Over the past years, the combat system of the game has noticeably matured, reaching its climax to the 3rd part. As before, each new battle will have to be carefully prepared in advance, in which variegated potions and traps will help us. Thanks to all the innovations, the battles will become even more thoughtful and spectacular, although they will not be as unfriendly as it was in the second part, where mastering with the “combat” was extremely difficult for all newcomers.
The Witcher 3 - System Requirements
Our heroine promises to be one of the most excellent games in the entire history of the industry in terms of visual component. Of course, to carry out such a difficult task, the developers had to work hard, significantly improving the RED Engine. Nevertheless, at the presentations of the gameplay, the game pleased its beauties without upsetting demanding fans. Today, there are no officially published system requirements, however, there are analytical reports against which you can determine the minimum system requirements of Witcher 3.

- CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo 3.0 Ghz or equivalent from AMD.
- RAM: 4 Gb.
- Video card: GeForce GT 240 | Radeon HD 3870.
- DirectX 11.
- Winchester: 18 Gb.
As you can see, the requirements are not too sky-high, which cannot but rejoice. Of course, closer to the release of the game requirements can jump sharply. Nevertheless, we can also hope for excellent engine optimization, which will allow us not to apply the system requirements of a top PC to The Witcher 3. We pass to the recommended requirements.
The Witcher 3 - System Requirements (Recommended)
In order to play at high levels of graphics settings, you need a more powerful machine. In principle, the requirements indicated on one of the Western sites look extremely implausible for such a beautiful game. However, here is what was presented:
- OS: Windows 7 (x64).
- CPU: Intel Core i5-680 | AMD Phenom 9950B.
- RAM: 6 Gb.
- Video card: GeForce GTX 260 or equivalent from AMD.
- DirectX 11.
- Winchester: 18 GB.
The main complaints can go to the video card. If a processor and RAM of this class is still able to cope with such a significant amount of processed information, then a video card, as for us, will need much better. For high settings, the GTX 560 or AMD's analog with 1 Gb GDDR 5 memory on board is most likely ideal. We turn to the requirements for ultra-settings.
Maximum system requirements
Finally, the last section with the requirements that will be required to run the 3rd “The Witcher” at maximum graphics settings. As for the OS, the best choice would be Windows 7 or 8. But with the processor, you probably have to guess. If you look at the recently released next-gene projects (AC: Unity, MGS V), we can assume that the game will require Intel Core i5 4690. 8 Gb of RAM should be enough. Finally, the most powerful complaints will go to the video card. Most likely, for ultra-settings, the game will ask for the GTX 780 Ti or Radeon R9 290x. These are the system requirements for Witcher 3.
Release Date and Pre-Order Bonuses
More recently, the release date of the new part of the Geralt wandering saga was February 24, 2015. Nevertheless, as the developers themselves admitted, they somewhat overestimated their strength, and therefore, in order to release a high-quality and optimized product, the release was again delayed. Now Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, The release date (we already specified the system requirements above) is set to May 19, 2015.
At the same time, if you pre-order the game, then you will find a lot of exciting bonuses and surprises, including a free copy of the cult Neverwinter Nights, the comic book The Witcher House: of Glass, an exclusive soundtrack, digital artbook and many other nice things that are so generous gives CD Project to its customers.
