Any kind of roofing material is made on the basis of dense cardboard, well impregnated with fusible bitumen and coated with refractory. There are only two main varieties of roofing material:

Modifications
At the moment, in addition to the main variety of roofing material RCP 350, its lightweight modification is produced. It is marked as follows: RCP 350-O. The breaking load of this material is slightly less than that of the RCP 350 (26 kgf). Additional dressing of strips in this case is also provided, but it is only fine talcum powder without crumbs. Installation Rules

Installation method
Work must be done by at least two people. The order of sheet installation in this case will be as follows:
- One person smears the surface of the roof with bitumen. Its hot variety is best applied with a long stick with a rag wound around it. For greasing with cold mastic, a roller is usually used.
- The second person rolls the roll and carefully straightens it from the center to the edges.
The overlap between the strips in the longitudinal direction should be 15 cm, in the transverse - at least 10 cm. When using RCP 350 roofing material as the lowest layer, it is additionally nailed to the crate with roofing nails (with a fixing fungus made of plastic or sheet metal) in increments of 20 cm Of course, all overlaps should be carefully coated with mastic.
If roofing material RCP 350 is used to make the final layer, the joints should be covered with bitumen not only from the inside, but also from the outside. Also in this case, it is desirable to lay the material with an overlap of up to 1/3 of the strip width. While the mastic at the seams on top has not frozen, it is sprinkled with coarse sand. The interval between laying layers should be at least 12 hours.
Ruberoid RCP 350: price
This cover is literally a penny. Ruberoid is generally the cheapest roofing material at the moment. For one roll of 15 meters long and a meter wide, you will have to pay only about 300 rubles. To cover a roof of 50 m2, they will need only 8 pieces (in two layers), taking into account overlaps and a small margin. Consequently, the material will cost only 2,400 rubles.
