Filter sleeve: materials and application features

The filter bag belongs to the category of universal type equipment used for air purification, the temperature of which does not exceed 260 degrees. It is an effective dust collector and is usually made to order, taking into account the characteristics of operation and the size of the replaceable elements. The design can be elliptical or round and equipped with a ring made of rubber, spring and wire.

Filter sleeve: scope

There are many technological processes that require the use of such elements:

  • oil refining and metallurgical products;
  • sawing and other types of wood processing;
  • cement silo ventilation;
  • cement manufacturing;
  • grinding and metal processing;
  • tobacco production;
  • carbon black and plastic manufacturing.

Materials

As materials for the manufacture of sleeves, polyester, fabric, polypropylene, fiberglass are used. There are products supplemented with electrically conductive fibers, an antistatic coating, and also designed for high temperatures and having water-repellent characteristics. The outer layer may be coated in the form of a mesh or nylon fleece. Sufficient distribution acquired sleeves having a calendared surface. Thanks to their use, the smallest fibers are prevented from falling into the filtrate. The process of calendaring the fabric consists in rolling through shafts heated to a certain temperature, and subsequent sintering of the fibers.

Operational Features

The replacement filter part is subject to constant wear and tear, which necessitates regular replacement. In addition to removing old elements, timely cleaning of bag filters, nozzles and the hopper from accumulated contaminants is required and the subsequent verification of the system. The necessary level of efficiency of suction structures is achieved only if the new hoses are systematically installed.

There are several main types that differ in the specifics of operation. The filter sleeve, which is used in high-temperature environments and for capturing explosive dust, has gained sufficient popularity. The design is based on a housing having two chambers, valve sections and frame filtration elements. Air enters the chamber through the nozzle and passes through a filter, on the surface of which dust remains. After cleaning, the air is discharged into a special chamber through the open elements of the sleeves.

Manufacture

The production process is carried out on the latest equipment using high-quality paintings, including from materials that differ in conductive properties. The filter sleeve, designed to capture dust with increased explosion hazard, is complemented by valves with a special membrane. In this case, a separate installation of the launch equipment in the designated room is required. The removal of collected dust can be done with different regularity depending on the operating conditions. With the help of lock gates, the discharge department is sealed if dust is to be collected on an installed filter. Other types of sealing devices are also used.

Certain types of filters are supplemented by automatic systems that allow you to control mechanisms for unloading dust from several filters at the same time and prevent damage to the structure as a result of exposure to high-temperature gases. Such systems are used to transmit data for subsequent monitoring and control of the cleaning mechanism.
