The history of leggings for dancing

Already in the beginning - the middle of the 20th century, knitted leggings began to appear in the form in which we were used to seeing them on long-legged models and in shop windows. The peak of popularity of knitted golfs and leggings was in the 60-70s, then they were visited not so much by dancers as fashionistas, choosing thin jerseys and putting them on, slightly lowering them under a dress and white shoes.

In the 80s, aerobics was associated with leggings - slender blondes in short shorts, lowered leggings and massive running shoes jumped on the TV. As an element of the wardrobe, leggings for dancing were not used.

Leg warmers for shoes
And only at the turn of 2000, street dancers and imitators of their culture in fashion introduced knitted leggings as a must have of an autumn-spring wardrobe. Girls with particularly long legs consider it their duty to wear them under both boots and boots, visually outlining the silhouette of the legs. Leggings look good with heels and sneakers. We are not talking about the color scheme - leggings on shoes are exactly that part of the image, which can be the most vivid shades.

What should be professional dance leggings?

Not only dancers, but also runners, athletes and even ... tourists attach particular importance to this attribute. Indeed, comfortable tight leggings keep the ankle from blowing during long trips, protect shoes from pollution.

Sport dance classes
In addition to aesthetics, sports leggings should have practicality, payload. It is obligatory to wear leggings in winter in dance halls and in summer in open dance floors. There are special compression leggings that support tendons - but you should not indulge in such ones unnecessarily.

Leggings for dancing should sit tightly on the leg, but at the same time do not squeeze it too much. In addition to keeping them warm, their feet should not sweat. It is also worth paying attention to the soiling and ease of care: bright pink and pastel products, of course, are beautiful, but the number of washings per week increases proportionally.

The composition of the product must necessarily include at least 50% of natural materials - wool or cotton. It is not recommended to take fully woolen leggings - they dry longer.
