Among the shortcomings of such shells, it is worth noting that they can ricochet, and the rate of penetration is very much reduced if the shell hits the screen of an enemy tank. Also, they do not have normalization, that is, they need to shoot only at the right angle.

Also, normalization when firing such shells is only two degrees, resulting in increased reduced armor, which such shells will need to overcome.
