College of Bards, "Skyrim": walkthrough

To join the guild of the College of Bards "Skyrim", the player must get to the city of Solitude. The house itself is located not far from the Palace, so it will not work to pass by without noticing it. Going inside, we will meet a man named Viarmo, who will tell us how to join the bards.

About the guild

The College of Bards "Skyrim" existed in Solitude since the time of the Alessian Order. Future singers, poets and musicians are trained in it. Pupils together with teachers take an active part in noisy holidays and provide the audience with live music. During the main annual event organized by the College, the celebration participants burn a special scarecrow. By the way, the prototype for the scarecrow was King Olaf, which was hated by many.

Bards who have completed their studies at the College can go to taverns or wealthy homes to begin their independent careers there. Some graduates choose a different path - the path of nomads, wandering between cities and settlements and carrying beautiful music to the most remote corners of the northern province.

Skyrim: where is the College of Bards?

This is a rather interesting guild that gives fascinating quests. The only disappointment noted by many players is that the main character will not be able to learn to sing or play instruments. Fortunately, this defect can be fixed using special mods for the Skyrim College of Bards.

Joining the Bards

Anyone can join this guild, regardless of class or level. To do this, you need to find in the College of our future mentor, Viarmo - he will tell us about the rules of entry. From him we learn that only those who are able to fulfill their instructions and prove their usefulness are accepted into the College.

It is noteworthy that after joining this guild, the main character will not receive either a room, a bed, or a chest (unlike the guild of magicians, thieves, etc.). Passing tasks, we will not be able to receive ranks or advance in certain ranks. We will not learn to sing either. In fact, all that the Skyrim College of Bards provides is an achievement, a good monetary reward, and skill upgrading.

To be more precise, we must convince the authorities that the celebration should take place this year as well (it was canceled due to personal reasons for the jarl).

To get started, go on the wanted list of "Songs of King Olaf." The book can be found in one of the crypts, in which we will find many traps and opponents in the form of spiders and skeletons. We move forward until we stumble upon the body of a dead bard named Sangvik. Next to the corpse will lie "Song", so grab it and run back.

Fashion for the College of Bards Skyrim

On the way back, the ghost of Sangwick will help us - he will get rid of the force field, which will block the passage, and also will come out with us against several powerful dragurs. At the end of the battle, we will have to face Olaf himself - he is a strong opponent, so it’s important to go well-trained in search of a book.

We return the “Song” back to Viarmo and find that part of the text decayed over time. We add the necessary lines and go to meet the jarl. If we manage to restore the text convincingly, then the jarl will give permission for the celebration. Quest 2: The Flute of Panthei

We get the next task from Panthea Antei - she sends us for a flute, which is hidden in the Hoba cave. We'll have to break through another crowd of enemies, fighting with the necromancers and the skeletons they call. The flute is stored in the very last hall, which is guarded by the most powerful opponents.

We return to the College of Bards "Skyrim", where Panthea, in gratitude for the returned relic, will increase several of our magical characteristics: destruction, enchantment, illusion, change, restoration and witchcraft.

Quest 3: Finn's Lute

For the third quest, we turn to a character named Inga - she is interested in the stolen lute of Finn, who, according to rumors, is now in the cave of Stone Stream.

Upon arrival at the place, it turns out that the local bandits settled in the cave, so things can’t do without a fight. We make our way along the corridors to a small room in which a chest with a lute is hidden. It is worth noting that the room is guarded by the most powerful bandit, and perhaps it will be a magician. We deal with the enemy, pick up the instrument and return to the College. In gratitude for the work done, Inga will upgrade several of our skills.

Quest 4: The Bjorn Drum

We complete the passage of the College of Bards “Skyrim” with the fourth and final quest, which will be entrusted to us by Giro Jiman. Without thinking twice, we go to the location marked on the map with a special mark.

What does the College of Bards of Skyrim give?

Once in Holdir’s cairn, we explore the ancient ruins near the magic pillar. About what happened on this site, we learn from several diaries found there. We pick up the key and go inside the cairn through the locked door. Inside the cairn we are greeted by several dragoons, as well as the ghosts of the fallen soldiers. We make our way through all the obstacles, simultaneously solving several puzzles. Riddles are connected with the symbols of various animals that are already familiar to us: in a room with two fishes, we select a fish, in a room with two birds, we select a bird, and finally, in a room with two snakes, we twist a snake.

At the end of the road, we will meet with the Holder himself. The opponent from him is not as strong as King Olaf, however, he has a lot of health and a cry attack in reserve. At first, he will attack us in the guise of a ghost draugra, however, having lost half the HP, he will immediately “break” himself into three phantoms. In this case, our strategy will be to win at each individual phantom, after which the Holder will regain a single form. We kill him and take the drum. Now we hold the way down and get out through the hatch.

Skyrim Bard College Quests

We meet in College with Jiman and give him the drum. As a reward, we get a boost in the form of an additional unit to several combat skills. On this, our "training" in the Bard guild can be considered completed.
