Great Psychology Books: Understanding Yourself and Others

When meeting on the Internet, in no case do not write “psychology” in the interest column if you are not a professional. You are guaranteed to be perceived as a person who likes to complicate things. In fact, everyone is interested in psychology, since people have to communicate with people every day, but some people read books, while others simply gain communicative experience and draw their own conclusions. It is best to combine both approaches. But what psychology books are worth reading to feel confident?

500% motivation

psychology books

The book “Breakthrough” by Andrey Parabellum and co-authors is very peculiar. Not all authors have a psychological education (Parabellum - in general, a physicist). This book offers many tasks for self-development trainings. I guessed the future popularity of the book long before it soared into the tops of sales, and even wrote reports on the training "Self-discipline." The authors discuss the patterns of the human psyche, sometimes contrary to the classics, sometimes provocatively. But the book costs much more than the modest amount spent on it. You have not read such a book on psychology!

Tough, but in the case

books on the psychology of communication

How do you feel about cynics? If it’s bad, then be sure to read Ilyin’s book, A Practical Guide to Hunting for Happiness. You will feel that you have been stretched with your knees along the stone-paved road, but reconsider many of your views and become much more protected ... from yourself. If you tolerate cynics normally, pay attention to this book anyway: get genuine intellectual pleasure. I do not know the best book on the psychology of communication. It is written in an amazing authoring style. At first you will build sentences just like the author, the manner of presentation is so impressive. And in content - this is a summary of the necessary knowledge in life. The most necessary and most important, if you are not averse to becoming happy.

Advanced only

good books on psychology

If you are an experienced reader and thoughtful person, I highly recommend a work written in the sixteenth century. Do you think psychology books did not exist then? Nevertheless, they existed, and then the clergy were considered experts. But I will not torment: the book is called "Invisible abuse" in the Russian translation. Written by an Italian monk, translated and supplemented by Nicodemus Svyatogorets in the eighteenth century. Why do I so strongly recommend such an ancient book? If you are not afraid of quotes from the Bible and specific spiritual vocabulary, you will find a guide to personal growth for a believer. The range of topics covered is very wide: from the problem of trusting one's opinions to the causes of strained relations with others. The book is striking in the depth and accuracy of observations. But not every person normally perceives books of this kind.

The good books on psychology from my list are written by people without a proper education. Maybe this affected the freshness of their view of psychology and life. All books deserve at least a read reading. Caution: after studying them, the outlook on life changes irreversibly!
