Acrylic primer is divided into two main types - strengthening and acrylic primer deep penetration. The difference between them is the particle size of the binder material. The strengthening primer mixture is intended for bonding (strengthening) the surface base and, of course, the binder grains in them are several times larger than in penetrating mixtures. Such a primer composition is used primarily before wallpapering or surface painting.

An acrylic primer of deep penetration, containing extremely small particles of a binder material (usually acrylic polymers), is able to penetrate into the base of the surface to a depth of ten centimeters. Such primers are usually used before applying a thick coating to the surface. Such as tile glue or art plaster.

In addition, a penetrating acrylic primer has another important function - preventing the appearance of fungi or mold. It is also recommended to use this type of primer for treating porous surfaces. Acrylic primer will significantly improve their operational and decorative qualities. The penetrating acrylic primer also has excellent protective properties, which makes it possible to actively use it as a corrosion-resistant coating of metal surfaces. Of course, the primer is not able to completely prevent the appearance of corrosion, but it significantly slows down the process of its development.

Acrylic primer mixes also vary in composition, which determines their technical and operational characteristics. There are water dispersible primers and organically soluble. The first variety is less resistant to the influence of various external factors (dampness, temperature extremes, etc.), but it is more environmentally friendly and almost odorless. It is suitable for surface treatment before plastering and puttying. Such primers are excellent for treating plasterboard, brick and concrete surfaces.

Organically soluble primer mixtures are much better able to withstand external factors and have a greater degree of resistance to various contaminants. Such mixtures are recommended for exterior decoration. For example, for the treatment of building facades.
