Many companies manufacturing and installing window systems have increasingly begun to offer their customers such automation. To which many people are happy to agree. And this is not due to banal laziness, but with increased comfort. Indeed, when you come home after a hard day, you don’t always want to run to the windows, opening and closing them. It is much easier to click on the appropriate control buttons. As for offices and production facilities, such automation of processes is sometimes simply necessary there.
The easiest option is to install equipment on each individual window with its own remote control. In this case, each transom can be controlled separately. That is, each window will be associated with a separate remote control, and its control buttons they will send a signal to the appropriate device. However, this option is not entirely convenient. Or all the windows will work from one remote control, but for the automation to function, it is necessary to direct the device to each of them when a signal is supplied.
For finer tuning the operation of window automation, you can install central
control panels. They allow you to bring the mechanisms into operation not only using the remote control, but also program their autostart in accordance with the specified parameters. For example, by time, by temperature, by the fire alarm, etc. The button for controlling the start of automation is located on the central panel. Typically, such functionality is included in the Smart Home system.
The following types of drives for window automation are available:
- Chain . This type of device has gained the most popularity due to the ease of installation and operation. In addition, they show a good speed, which is about 40 mm per second. In order for the remote control buttons to command the operation of such a mechanism, it is equipped with a radio-controlled module.
- Spindle . Such drives are great for automating opening / closing windows in tight spaces. The speed of their work can reach up to 40 mm per second. Most often they are used for windows of average weight, since the force applied by them does not exceed 450N.
- With rack and pinion. This type of window automation device belongs to the industrial class. This is due to the fact that they were created specifically for the automatic opening of massive windows, transoms and anti-aircraft lights in commercial and industrial premises. They are able to exert force up to 650N. But the speed indicators for such mechanisms are small and amount to only 8 mm per second.
- Scissor . They are designed to open transoms, are quite convenient to operate and are able to work with a force of up to 1400N.
- Automatic ventilation systems . This type of device was developed specifically for private use. Due to this, they are quite compact and have an elegant look. The window control buttons can be located both on the remote control and on the device itself. Often, such mechanisms are equipped with sensors for snow, rain, wind and smoke.
