Novosibirsk is the administrative center of the Siberian Federal District. The city is not the largest in area (occupies only 13th place) and in terms of population (3rd place). Historical reference
The settlement received the status of a city only in 1903, and until 1925 it was called Novo-Nikolaevsk. Today, Novosibirsk is a business and cultural center of the Siberian district.

The bridge, built between 1893 and 1897, served for a long time faithfully to the city. But due to severe deterioration, a new one was erected nearby in 2000, and the old one was dismantled.

Before there was a capital crossing over the Ob River, no one knew about a small settlement in Siberia. The location of the park area

In addition to the bridge span, a monument to Alexander III was erected in the Gorodskoye Origin park (Novosibirsk) . The emperor was immortalized for the fact that it was during his reign that the village of Novo-Nikolaevsk was founded.
The monument was erected in front of the old bridge farm in 2012. The monument reaches a height of 13 meters. The statue of the emperor 5 meters high is made of bronze. The pedestal makes up the rest of the monument and is made of granite. The monument is symbolically oriented to the east - towards the construction of the Trans-Siberian Railway.
On the pedestal there is a quote from the imperial rescript of Alexander III about the beginning of the construction of the highway, dated March 29, 1891.

Local people like to stroll in the park in the summer. On the river opposite the park area there is a floating fountain. In the evening, it is illuminated by colorful lights in musical accompaniment, creating a unique atmosphere.
The park has a concert venue where concerts are held with the participation of local and visiting artists. Especially crowded here on holidays and weekends.
In the park "Urban Home" of Novosibirsk, newlyweds like to take photos. There is even a special platform and a place where young couples hang locks as a sign of their devotion and love. Of course, the couple throws the keys to the locks so far that no one can find it.
