Grusha Efimova Nyadnaya - an autumn variety of early fruiting, bred in 1936 by crossing Lyubimitsa Klappa with the Tonkovetka. Used in breeding as a donor of frost resistance and hybridization, it has been widely used in Moldova, Kazakhstan, Russia, Ukraine, Belarus and Estonia.
Pear Dressy Efimova: description
The tree is pyramidal, very tall, with a fast-growing crown, having medium thickening. The branches are located at an acute angle to the trunk. The bark is smooth, gray. The leaves are medium, dark green, serrated-serrated at the edges; located on thin, pubescent petioles. The kidneys are conical in shape, smooth, slightly bent. The flowers are white with a pleasant aroma.
Pear Efimova Elegant has fruits of regular elongated pear shape, the average weight of which is from 90 to 120 grams. The mass of large specimens can reach 180 grams. The skin is smooth, with a large number of well-defined subcutaneous points. During the period of removable maturity, the fetus is colored greenish yellow with a surface purple blush. At the moment of consumer ripeness, pears acquire a light yellow color with a red topcoat. Pears are placed on long oblique stalks of medium thickness. The funnel is shallow or completely absent. The calyx is non-falling, open type. Seeds are dark brown, large, located in closed seed chambers. The pulp is semi-oily, creamy white, delicate, dense in structure, when consumed with copious juicing. The taste is harmonious, sour-sweet, with some astringency.
The first bearing occurs after 7-8 years of planting. Pear Efimova Elegant dressed with a harvest annually, giving about 30 tons of beautiful marketable fruits from 1 hectare of planting.
Features of the removal of fruits
Pear Naryadnaya Efimova (see photo in the article) is characterized by fruiting of a mixed type: the fruits are placed on the stem spears, small fruit stems, and little gloves. Mass harvesting begins in late summer - early fall.
An important factor is the prevention of ripening of pears on a tree, and their removal in an unripe state, when the peel of the stalk only starts to turn yellow, and the main color of the pear is green. Otherwise, the taste of the fruit will suffer: the flesh will be powdery, starchy, tasteless, like crumbly sweet potatoes.
After collection, the removed pears should be determined for ripening in a cool room. In the refrigerator, fruits are stored for about a month.
Pear planting
For planting, it is recommended to choose a lit place, which will positively affect the size and taste of the fruit. When placed in the shade, the pears will be small and sour. Trees are intolerant of stagnation of water in the soil, therefore, with a close location of groundwater, it is important to provide the seedling with good drainage or to determine the tree on a hill. It is best to plant a tree on sandy-chernozem soil; when providing fertilizers, loamy and sandy soil is suitable. When planting, the seedling should be placed so that the root neck is above the soil surface at a height of 5-7 cm. When buying a seedling, the latter is recommended to immediately cut the branches before planting, cut off 90% of the leaves, leaving a couple of pieces on each branch, and straighten the roots.

Pear Efimova Elegant is not affected by diseases and pests , it is characterized by good resistance to scab. Does not need preventative treatments against pests and diseases. Watering the pear is recommended once a week; on hot days - 2-3 times. It is important to ensure the supply of moisture during the fruiting period and at the same time laying flower buds that form the crop of the new season.
The trunk circle should be kept completely clean by removing weeds and periodically loosening the soil. You can mulch, aimed at preventing the growth of weeds and the preservation of moisture in the soil. The variety needs a systematic pruning of the crown, aimed at increasing the yield of the tree and preventing diseases.
Elegant Efimova is a pear, reviews about the qualities of which are mostly positive. The advantages of the variety are its frost resistance, annual fruiting and high quality fruits - consumer and marketable.
The disadvantages of the variety include the late start of the fruiting period and difficulties with the moment of determining the start of picking the fruit.
