Which of us does not dream of a country house? At first glance, this problem is not so easy to solve. In fact, there is a wonderful option - houses made of foam blocks, DIY construction of which is quite accessible to anyone. The foam block is a very convenient material: it is easy to process, it can be sawn with an ordinary hand saw, it is light and easy to lay. In addition, it is quite durable and much cheaper than brick and other building materials.

The foundation for such a house can be both a monolithic tape, and from foam blocks of a high brand. A cheaper and no less practical option is a prefabricated foundation of blocks. The laid blocks of the foundation must be covered with waterproofing material, for example roofing material, and only then does the laying of the walls themselves begin.
When we build a house from foam blocks with our own hands, it is necessary to adhere to certain rules: the first row is laid on cement mortar and is well leveled, since the success of all further work actually depends on the quality of the first row. The quality of its installation is necessarily checked with the help of the level, and then the device of subsequent rows begins. Building a house, as with any other kind of masonry, starts from the corners. If the foam blocks are of good quality and perfectly smooth, then they are laid on a special adhesive solution. If they have defects, then the usual masonry mortar is used. The laying of each subsequent row is verified by level and plumb, and irregularities are sealed with a solution. Reinforcing bars are laid every few rows, for which cuts are made in the blocks, which are then carefully cemented. This will give the walls extra strength.

The next stage is the installation of window and door openings. For this, reinforced concrete lintels of various configurations are used: straight or arched. After installing jumpers, the masonry continues to the required wall height. When it is finished, the construction of a house from foam blocks with their own hands continues with the installation of floor slabs. To do this, a support belt is reinforced at the top of the masonry and an overlap is laid on the mortar layer, the best option of which is a reinforced concrete slab. But, in principle, it can be wooden or monolithic.
Next, it is necessary to carry out work on the installation of water supply and sewage systems, as well as to carry out electrical work. This will not be much work, since foam concrete is easy to drill and other processing, but when performing work on the installation of electrical wiring does not hurt the control of a specialist. Work on the interior decoration of the premises according to technology does not differ from work in any other house, they can also be done with your own hands.
