GTA 5 was also no exception in this regard, and even more so - this feature was continued in the online part. In addition to the standard gangs, various subcultures and even cults appeared.

Gangs: Armenian Mafia, Aztecs and Ballas
The first three criminal gangs on our list.
The Armenian mafia is not considered a gang as such, but it still falls into this category. The reason is the size mismatch that any large organization should have. In the game, the Armenian mafia is a cover for Semyon Etaryan. Representatives prefer suits or leather jackets, but still they stand out most of all for their expensive chains of gold and a unique speech.
The translation of the full name of our next gang can be interpreted as " Aztecs from the area ." The roots of this group are Mexican, and the occupation relates to drug trafficking and the sale of weapons, due to which, incidentally, they have clashes with other local smugglers. Most often, representatives of the "Aztecs" can be identified by the turquoise uniform, however, in addition to color, its type does not have any restrictions.
Virtually all of Los Santos and Davis are operated by Ballas members. This is the largest organization in which some African-Americans are members. She has long been at enmity with representatives of another GTA-5 gang, the Families. As a rule, dress in lilac (purple) colors. It is noteworthy that the real existing Los Angeles gang Bloods was taken as the basis for the creation of this group. They prefer to drive beautiful cars, show off cool cannons and ostentatious expensive things. If you do not pester them, then in relation to the player, “Ballas” does not always show aggression. However, if you cross the road to them, then in this case you can become prey for lowered dogs.
Gangs: Bonelli, Brothers O'Nill and Vagos
We continue to consider criminal gangs in the territory of Los Santos. At the head of the next GTA-5 gang is Enzo Bonelli, who, together with his subordinates, is trying to pick up a city construction business for himself. Naturally, there can be no question of any legal actions. In GTA 5, we meet with members of the Bonelli gang during one of the missions for Franklin and deal with them in it.
The O’Nill brothers are none other than the simple countrymen pushing their customers met. They have their own ranch, where they are engaged in the production of goods. The next group of "Vagos" is sometimes called LSV, which stands for LosSantosVagos. In the story, we meet with them during one of the assignments, in which Michael and his son need to return the yacht. All members have tattoos on their faces and wear distinctive bandanas. Stand out in blue and white colors in clothes.
Gang "Lost" is a biker club, his fame is always a few steps ahead. Their diverse illegal activities extend to both coasts and include both the “traditional” sale of illicit substances and custom-made robberies along with murders. It is worth adding that the “Lost” appeared in the previous part of the series, and already there, nothing good connected them and the main characters.
And the last gang on our list that has a simple but catchy name is “Families”. This is another large group whose members are one African-American. By the way, it was in this gang that Franklin initially belonged. Their activity extends to a vast territory located between the Chamberlie Hills and Strobury. The main rivals of the “Family” are the grouping “Ballas” and “Vagos”. All members wear attributes painted in green - this is not only a distinctive sign and a distinctive emblem of the gang in GTA-5, but also the official colors of several popular baseball teams. The origin of the game "Semey" can also be associated with bandits from a real African-American group called "Cripples".
And, finally, the South Korean mafia is a small group that is engaged in the same activities as other criminal representatives. However, in GTA-5, the name of this gang is often associated with any automobile fraud, and not with drugs or weapons.

Cartel of Madrazo
This Mexican syndicate is involved in serious drug trafficking. The game occurs several times and has a difficult relationship with the main characters. For example, remember the mission for Michael, when he destroyed the house of the mistress of the head of the syndicate. The second meeting concerns another hero - Trevor, when he first steals the wife of Madrazo, and then he himself returns it. After that, the situation between the protagonists and the Cartel is getting better.
TrevorPhilipsIndustries (TPI)
An organization led by one of the protagonists personally. In total, four people work at TFI and sell weapons and narcotic substances that are produced in their own hangar. The main enemies are the Aztecs, the triads, the Brothers O Neal and the Lost. At the end of the passage, thanks to the talented leader, Trevor Phillips Industries becomes the leader among all competitors.
Subcultures
Hippies and hipsters stand out among this group. The first ones like to indulge in grass, do not hesitate to stroll around the city in a minimum amount of clothes and hope to meet aliens. The second are the physical incarnations of the "mainstream" currents.
Cults
Religious organizations and their dark sides in GTA-5 are given special attention. So, for example, the Cult of "Altruists" is trying to embody the idea of ​​the common good, which applies only to themselves. They blame one youth for all the troubles, and they despise any modern technology.
