Leading fashion designers of our time offer women a wide range of options for sundresses for any figure and age, the most varied cut, with and without elastic, fitted and with assembly under the breast.
This is such a simple product that it is not difficult to
sew a sundress with your own hands even for a beginning seamstress. For it, you can use the old scraps found in home bins, and if one of them is lacking, you can combine several fabrics and even use patchwork.
A dress-sarafan, sewn
with your own hands , will be worn with great pleasure, and if you do it together with the children, it will bring you closer and will instill in them an interest in needlework. You can sew a sundress of a simple cut and strapless on yourself, or with one
lace tied behind the neck. But for children it is necessary to sew a sundress with shoulders or straps.
It is very simple and pleasant to sew a sundress with your own hands. Patterns, especially for children's products, may not be needed ready-made, but if you still use them, you can modify them - improve the model with two straps made of satin or silk ribbons tied in the form of a bow. And you can supplement the product with a similar element on the chest or with a wide ribbon along the hem of the entire product, as in the original Russian traditions. Such a simple decor will greatly please the daughter.
We sew ourselves
So, to make a simple sundress with your own hands, you will need a light, preferably natural, material - knitwear, linen, cotton, suitable threads, a sewing machine and an overlock, and for decoration, if desired, ribbons, sequins, beads, beads, lace or ready-made applications. Also, the hem for the girl can be skillfully decorated with ruffles, which will add to the image of tenderness. So, for the first version of the sundress, you need to take only two measurements - the volume of the chest and the length of the future product. Such a sarafan, sewn with one's own hands, without straps and with a wide ruffle on the chest, is sewn from two blanks. The first is a rectangle, the larger side of which is equal to the second measurement, and the smaller - chest circumference + 10 cm for a beautiful assembly. Next, we cut out a wide strip with the same side as the first workpiece, and the other side should be approximately 15-17 cm. First, apply both patterns to each other with the front sides and make two seams along the top, between which we will insert a narrow elastic band . Then on the first workpiece, stepping another 20 cm from the top edge, repeat the procedure with a screed. It remains only to sew a sundress with your own hands on the sides and work on the edges, and he will be ready.

If you are not comfortable without straps, you can sew two parallel or one oblique, one-piece or in the form of two laces for tying on the shoulders. Another addition to give the image frankness and even sexuality can be one or two cuts on the sides, their height should be determined independently. Also, a light sundress decor can be done with the sleeves, simply by extending the peplum strip by two shoulder girth widths. This option will elegantly emphasize the neck and collarbone and hide the upper part of the hands, and therefore is more suitable for plump ladies.
