The word “euphoria” is not so common in texts. But the song of the same name by the singer Lorin thundered throughout Europe. Many became interested in what euphoria is. The meaning of this term can be divided into two areas: everyday and psychiatric. We will start with everyday life, although the concept arose within the framework of science.
The happiness of a lover
In the everyday sense, the meaning of the word “euphoria” is a very good mood, bliss and bright joy. In the song, Loreen said that love gives her euphoria. But she herself admitted in a personal conversation that she did not experience such a feeling from personal relationships. So far from everyone, in principle, is able to feel euphoria in this way. Yes, and it's better not to get involved in the search for this condition. Why? Recall that the term is nevertheless psychiatric.
Sex or yoga?
Euphoria is a state of emotional uplift, a feeling of boundless joy and carefree happiness. Most often normal in children, not adults. In adults, it does not appear so often. Under normal conditions, she is felt by a lover who has learned about reciprocity, who won the competition, an athlete, a man or a woman after particularly good sex, sometimes she gets it in the process of spiritual practice, but this is a risky path, close to mental illness.
Pleasure under the degree
Much more often euphoria occurs in sick people. This also applies to alcoholics, in the first stages of intoxication, alcohol causes high spirits. However, this ends quickly enough, and few can limit themselves until alcohol begins to have a depressing effect. That is why a large percentage of suicides occur after alcohol abuse. So if you can’t limit yourself to a small amount, don’t drink.
Foggy joy
Euphoria is a frequent condition of drug addicts. It is not surprising that their brain after a "dose" is similar to the brain of a lover. But a lover changes his state under the influence of emotions and memories, as well as new events. And a person with an amphetamine addiction loses the ability to fall in love, his brain requires an increase in dose. A man drives himself captive to chemical happiness, and it turns out to be difficult for him to refuse, return to a gray life. It is the discoloration of life, and not breaking, that scares addicts of amphetamines.
Ecstasy as a symptom
Euphoria is a semblance of a mental illness, but it usually does not occur on its own. It can be a symptom of many diseases, such as schizophrenia, cerebrovascular accident, and to some extent bipolar disorder. But do not confuse it with the mania characteristic of the last disease. With mania, a thirst for activity appears (for the most part, stupid). With euphoria, however, a person is in no hurry, he is "and so good" and he wants to "stop the moment."
Of course, it’s a shame that the state of bliss for a person is normal only for a short time, but it turns out that a person is not created at all for long joy. Euphoria is a rare short happiness. A person comes into the world to solve problems, and not just enjoy life. And it can, like a prize, receive euphoria from overcoming the difficulties of life.
