The law on consumer rights has a provision stating that the buyer can refuse the purchased product in the following cases: when it turned out to be of poor quality or does not fit in size, dimensions, shape, color or configuration - with some exceptions (which products cannot be exchanged and return, read below). The buyer has the right to exchange his product for a similar one, if it is not in stock, the store must return the money within three days. If necessary, the buyer needs to require a document confirming the act of return of the goods and the expectation of payment. Some requirements are imposed on the appearance of the product : it cannot be damaged, it must remain with labels, stripes and seals. If possible, present a cash receipt, but its absence is not a sufficient reason for rejecting the claim. The buyer can prove his innocence in an accessible legal way: by attracting witnesses, filming, etc.
However, as mentioned above, a list of goods not subject to return and exchange is established. It is compiled and approved by the Government of the country. So, we list
what goods are not subject to exchange and return, according to the latest version of the Resolution.
1. Medicines and other medical products (devices, tools, child care products, contact lenses, etc.).
2. Products for hygiene (wet wipes, curlers, toothbrushes, etc.).
3. Cosmetics and perfumes.
4. Textile, construction, decoration and other materials sold by the meter.
5. Lingerie, knitwear and hosiery.
6. Containers made of polymers in contact with food (disposable tableware, plastic boxes, packaging materials).
7. Furniture sets.
8. Household chemicals, chemicals.
9. Plants and animals.
10. Weapons and cartridges for it.
11. Complex household electrical appliances with a warranty period (machine tools, televisions,
radio engineering, etc.).
12. Vehicles — airplanes, automobiles, trailers, motorcycles, boats and other watercraft.
13. Jewelry.
14. Certain print media (brochures, calendars, booklets).

All of the above items relate to goods of good quality. In the event that the buyer found a factory defect in the warranty period established by the manufacturer, he should contact the store with a statement indicating the date of purchase, the nature of the damage and attaching the warranty card. If necessary, the seller carries out diagnostics, for this he is allocated 10 days. If it is proved that the product was originally defective, then the buyer is refunded or a similar product is given free of charge.
If your purchase is included in the list of goods to be returned, but the seller refuses to do this, then you have the right to sue him. As a rule, in such situations, the law takes the side of the consumer.
