DK Chkalova in Novosibirsk - a modern center of culture

In Soviet times, great attention was paid to social culture. Not a single microdistrict was built without a house of culture. After the collapse of the country, most institutions were left without attention from the authorities, children without circles, and adults without the opportunity to spend interesting time. However, this situation is not in all regions of our state.

On Dzerzhinsky Avenue, 34/1 is located Chkalov Palace of Culture in Novosibirsk. The institution has two theater and concert halls, with the possibility of broadcasting films. One hall with a capacity of 983 seats, the other - 224. There are several choreographic and dance halls, spacious foyers. There is ample parking for 200 cars near the Palace, and a cafe opens on the days of events.

Historical reference

On the initiative and at the expense of the Chkalov plant, construction of the palace began in 1965. The grand opening took place in 1970. Circles, creative groups from other institutions and schools were transferred here. The most famous at that time collective of DK Chkalov in Novosibirsk was Vitalinka. The folk ensemble has repeatedly represented the city at Russian and All-Union festivals.

The architect was Pirogov M. M., who created a two-level building, with a central rectangular auditorium, surrounded by a lobby, wardrobe, cafe and other rooms. The entrance to the Palace has been moved outside the structure into a separate pavilion.

Modern creative teams

To this day, the Vitalinka folk dance ensemble is working in the Chkalov Palace of Culture in Novosibirsk. Children and adults learn the basics of not only Russian, but also Belarusian and Tatar folk dances.

The choreographic ensemble “Rhythms of childhood” is the training and popularization of modern pop dance. In the collective, children learn not only dances, but also acquire acting skills and learn stage movements. The ensemble is accepted at the age of 4 to 18 years.

In the Palace of Culture in Chkalov in Novosibirsk there is a school of modern dance called “Bagira Dance”. They teach breaks, club and oriental dances.

For lovers of the classics, the doors of the “Inspiration” ballroom school are open, in which adults and children are accepted.

In the Palace of Culture in Chkalov in Novosibirsk, the live vocals studio is working. On the basis of the local pop group “Odnoklassnitsa.RU”, preparatory groups for children from 10 to 15 years already work.

For lovers of painting and simple drawing, the children's art studio “Sky” has been working since 1987. Here you can even learn painting on batik.

For people who are watching their figure, the Palace presents the opportunity to attend fitness aerobics classes. There is also a football and volleyball section for children, a boxing school.

The administration of the institution did not forget about the adult generation. Every Wednesday at 2 p.m., people aged 50 and over can come to dance or socialize. And every Saturday and Sunday, the Palace opens its doors to all comers for an evening of relaxation, beginning at 17:30.

Soon, or rather, on December 14 of this year, the Russian Circus with the ARA program arrives in Novosibirsk, in the Chkalov Palace of Culture. Funny clowns, rope-walkers and trained exotic animals will perform before the public.

It is pleasant to realize that the administration of the Palace of Culture had the enthusiasm to preserve precisely the “good” traditions of the Soviet period of the country.
