Chingiz Aitmatov is one of the most famous and popular writers of the Soviet era. Kyrgyz by origin, he paid much attention to the life of his people. Aitmatov gained recognition in the Soviet Union. He is the winner of numerous awards, Hero of Socialist Labor. Almost all of the writer's works were published in two languages: Russian and Kyrgyz.
Steppe and railway
One of Aitmatov’s best novels is “The Buranny Stop”. It is no accident that the fox, overcoming fear, returns to the railway track to find scraps.
Main characters

The contrast between nature and civilization
